Rejoice, students of Hogwarts, for I have found my journal!

It was trapped underneath Trollki's tank. I have no idea how it got there. But that explains why it was missing all summer! And I know you have all missed me, but please try to contain your enthusiasm. Don't all rush to greet me at once, I will be on the train, after all.

In other news, all current and prospective members of the Medical Science and Magic Society, please note that we will be holding our first meeting Thursday, September Sixth post evening meal in the dungeons. There will be cake, so make sure to save some room! I can't wait to see everyone there!

(No, Ognian, you're not allowed to show up just for the cake. That is for members only.)

I see you had quite a few 'welcome back to journaling' responses. How are you doing?

I'm going to kill them all. No jury in the universe will convict me. I was this close to doing a voice post and yelling myself hoarse. Currently questioning my sanity. Why did I think this was a good idea again?

Ah, don't be like that. At least you don't have to deal with them for real until we get on the train. :)

Were your holidays relaxing at least?

Oh my god. At least then I'll be able to hit them.

I guess. It always feels a little bit like going into exile. And skimming through the entries I missed, it looks like I'm the only muggleborn that feels that way.

'Exile' is a bit harsh. If you feel that bad about going home next time, see if your parents will let you come over here for a bit.

Dad wouldn't mind too much if we wrecked the lab a few times for science. :)

But no, it's not really the science. My parents are pretty down with science. It's the magic they don't like, and they treat it like some sort of defect I have. They probably couldn't be less thrilled with me if I told them I was gay and did drag every Thursday night.

Wow, ignore all of that, I just realized how bad that looked.

I just meant that the prospect of going to your house and doing science sounded really nice and that I appreciate you as a friend.

I know Grandpa was apparently less than thrilled when it turned out Dad was a wizard, but he got used to it after a while... ~~Though that 'while' was after about 15 years~~

Anyway, the offer to come over is always open, just so you know.

Aside from a broken nose courtesy of Ognian Jaeger, yes, it was fine. I got a little extra for the club too, since it's nice to have hands on things every once in a while.

From Oggie? How'd you manage that?? The guy's a bit rough sometimes but he's generally friendly...

They were good books! I hate that people dismiss them as cheap or tawdry just because they're fiction!

And hitting them with said books is a way to make them re-evaluate their stance on the matter?
