[Roxy is sitting with her knees pulled into her chest when Madeline enters, a blue, bronze and pink-checkered blanket wrapped around her shoulders.]

Hi, Maddie.

[She both sounds and looks exhausted and doesn't look up from the jar she's rolling between her hands.]

[Madeline sits beside her, not touching but close enough to hug. Though she doesn't quite yet. Instead she settles her blanket across her knees and sets the books in Roxy's lap and letting Kumariie climb up onto her lap]

I know reading probably isn't the thing you're wanting to do right now but all of it is very...fanciful. It's muggle stuff. Ah--shoot one of them is in French, I'm sorry. They have this thing called science that they do instead of magic and they talk about ships that go up to the stars and through them and it's...strange. But you seem a little like you might like strange things. And the world we know can be hard. It's nice to read a little science-fantasy sometimes.
