To anyone who might have heard about my brother Phineas' unfortunate accident and subsequent stay in hospital, mother has informed me that he's perfectly fine now. I'm sure all of those whose lives he has touched with his generosity and gentleness of spirit will be very relieved.

This year is turning out to be rather interesting already, I must say. Magical Languages looks as if it's going to be... enlightening.




Also, I found a copy of Spellman's Syllabary stuck between two chairs in the common room. There's no name in it. I believe I may keep it if no one claims it, so if it's yours, do speak up.

[Then shrugs leaning over to grab his book before settling more comfortably in Arthur's lap]

Oh, I don't know. It's rather comfortable here. Much nicer than the school's chairs. Maybe I'll just stay here a bit.

[But it probably won't be comfortable for Arthur, not with Eriq's boney butt]

[And it's far, far too easy, considering their relative heights, for him to lift the other boy off his legs and put him on the seat beside them]

Tsk. [he sighs, rolling his eyes.] And here I thought you loved me.

[But anyway, this gave him a great excuse to flee for his life. So he started gathering up his things, doing his best to be absolutely casual and dismissive about it] But if you're going to be like that, I can leave. I know when I'm not wanted. My exquisite intellect and prodigious abilities are clearly not needed here.

[And so he will flounce off]
