As a starter, I'd like to congratulate the students who are now able to float in water. You're well on the way to actually swimming. A few of you went well beyond my expectations. However, I have decided that I will not be holding another swimming lesson again in this lifetime.

Secondly, I'm finding it incredibly presumptuous that a few of you are assuming the Hogsmeade trips will be going ahead. The behaviour displayed within the first weeks back was abysmal and anyone surprised over the points has not been paying very good attention to their surroundings.

As such, I have compiled a short list of reminders that I strongly suggest you consider.

1. Goats are a noisy privilege. Use them wisely and stop flaunting them around as if they're some sort of joke. They're for class, not for fun.

2. Do not ever think it is acceptable to touch either a student or professor in a manner that is anything more than platonic when you do not have their permission. I honestly don't care if you want to slide your hands down each others pants in your own time, don't do it to your superiors or people you're not close with. It's a very simple concept. If I hear about students being groped or harassed I will intervene.

3. I don't know everyone present at the party, but that was a mess I do not even feel the need to get into. The level of disrespect shown that day was near horrifying and I really wonder whether the punishment was as severe as it should have been. Regardless, none of you are at a level in which you'll find yourself able to get away with those kind of shenanigans without being caught by those more skilled than you. Keep that in mind.

That should cover it for now, if you have any questions in regards to any of those reminders, feel free to ask it here. On top of that, if you have a concern with another student or even another professor, direct them to me and I will see what I can do.

Remember that your behaviour reflects not only yourself but your house and that favourable manners will be rewarded in time.

Slytherin and Ravenclaw, review the chapters I have set for you and when you have time I would like for you to consider what you fear most. You'll find out why eventually.

I hope it doesn't offend you when I say that is incredibly fascinating. Though it's a terrible shame more people aren't willing to accept them, I imagine that has something to do with jealousy.

I was recently aware of the fact that he knew a great deal of languages, I wasn't sure how far his talents went beyond that.

Ninjas were basically mercenaries in Japan, but he's not either of those, even if he is a bit weebie. They're best known for stealth, which he's really good at! And he's super fast.

I am in agreement with that. Until I met some of the people here, everyone outside of my family and Roxy was too stupid to associate with at all.

I suppose that depends on where you live. Though stupid people are in the majority no matter where you are.

It's more like an American dork who pretends they're Japanese. They travel in packs and say uguuu and kawaii and don't make any sense at all. Their natural habitat is in damp basements and they lurk on the internet.

It's a bit disappointing, really.

You really should. He learnt Japanese just so he could watch his anime without subtitles.

It is. I used to be one, actually. They're officers within the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Like wizard ninjas only more official.

It's a Japanese cartoon, like Pokemon.

That's really cool. Do you get to go beat the bad guys up with wizard batons?

I don't know what a pokemon is.

No. We use our wands, but we did hunt down dark wizards.

I'll have to explain it when I can show you one of the collection books or something. I'm not sure if I can explain it without that aid and it still make sense.

What would the standard situation be? For something not out of the ordinary, the police would just arrest and detain someone. Depending upon what they did, they might be stuck in jail until their court case and then get sentenced, or they might just get to be let go the next day.

Magic is a little more difficult to police. Aurors are a little more advanced than regular crime control anyway, we're generally called in for the more serious offences and a lot of the time it would result in fighting and then sentencing. I have nothing to do with sentencing, but there is a court and there are trials.

So in a way you're kind of like a wizard super hero police military thing. I bet you really had to work hard to get a job like that, huh?

I wouldn't say super hero, no. But yes, it was a very difficult job. I miss it.

Maybe one day you can do it again?

Not a chance, but it doesn't matter.
