While you lot have been talking about goats and water rats, I've been working on getting in advance classes. If it pays off, I'll be in Dueling and Pre-Auror studies before the I'm allowed. Those classes are much better than rubbish like Divination.

Oh yes, they're absolutely fascinating, I think! Although some methods do seems utterly ridiculous on the surface, I will admit, I initially thought tea leaves were complete rubbish, but once you understand that things you see are just as often what you want to see, it really opens the door to a lot of personal discovery and growth. Not to mention the benefits of positive reinforcements and motivation. Receiving a "fortune" of "you will make new friends this month!" can be all the nudge it takes for some people to make the effort of addressing new people. Really, what it all boils down to is psychology and analysis, much like you said, and it's wonderfully enjoyable.

That's precisely it!

Quite a few people seem to think that it's all about discovering the omens, but you won't ever learn anything from them if you don't take all possible interpretations into account, especially the interpretations that may be biased in any way. It's incredibly complex at times, isn't it?
