Ah, yes. Who would like to join me at the Three Broomsticks for the first Hogsmeade trip? If I'm feeling particularly charitable, I may pay for your drink(s).
Or if you wish to join me at Honeydukes, I'd also appreciate that.
Company is welcomed and encouraged.

[The most cynical. It is her.]
Are you asking as a teacher or as my father?
Filtered
[Because...honestly? Is that a question that even needs to be asked?]

As your dad, Rose.

But when the knock comes, his eyebrows shoot up in surprise. Honestly, she's the only one it could be. So he heads to the door and pulls it open, immediately stepping aside to allow her to come in.]
Hey... Thanks for coming.
Action
She steps in after giving a polite curtsy.]
You asked so politely. It would be rather unbecoming of me to just outright ignore it.
Action
You wanna sit down? Want something to drink? I'm really bad at being British, I don't have tea. I can make coffee, though. Or hot chocolate. I think I have a bag of Doritos around here if you want something to eat...
[He's... really bad at this, isn't he?]
Action
Can you make Espresso?
[She lightly drags a chair to his desk.] I think I can hold out until dinner time comes. No need to have a crisis because the only thing you might have at hand for our impromptu meet is a bag of chips.
Re: Action
I ain't ever tried, but now's a good a time as any. But if you do get hungry, the offer for the chips is still on the table.
[He moves to start making her drink now.]
Action
[It's one of the few things they have that is rather unorthodox for a pureblood family to own. But...Rose's mom was also a socialite.]
Action
I bet.
[You can probably hear the grin on his voice.]
I'm sure it's a lot fancier than what I'm making, though. Sorry if it turns out shitty.
Action
I've always wanted to know what it's like to be of lower class. My dreams are coming true. [She's just playing.]
Action
[There's a slight pause.]
And I resent that. I'm totally high class. In an ironically shitty kinda way. I'm practically rolling in money.
Action
Of course. Your throne at Chuck E Cheese is waiting for you as we speak.
Action
[...Nevermind the fact she had no idea you existed up until parent's day. Oops.]
I should go quit and take up my position as King of the Ballpit right now.
Action
[She purposely didn't mention that.]
They miss you so much. Constant letters requesting for your valiant return.
Action
But hey, you're welcome to take up the role of Princess in my stead. They'd probably like you better. At least the decoration would be way better with you in charge.
[A few seconds later, he turns around with a cup in hand, offering a smile to her as he walks over and hands her the cup.]</small.
Action
I'll kindly pass. I'm not fit to be one of such a high end establishment, unfortunately. They wouldn't approve of my fanciful color schemes, anyways.
[She takes the cup from him, taking a small sip from it.]
Action
[He pulls a chair up next to her, instead of taking a seat across. He'd rather be closer than have a desk separating them.]
Alright, so... You wanna tell me what happened, now?
Action
I'd appreciate if you didn't read my entire journal, but I think you trust my privacy enough to only acquire what you need to know.
Action
You got it.
[He opens it, looking specifically for red ink and glossing over anything that isn't his business. When he finds it, he stops. When he reads it, his reaction is immediate. He grips the paper tighter and lets a breath hiss out.]
Oh for fucks sake...
[He closes the journal and thrusts it in Rose's direction, letting his head fall back against the chair.]
I'm sorry. That was... really fucking uncool of him.
Action
She just takes it back from him and puts it back in his schoolbag.]
I have no plans on speaking to your son anytime soon. He can do whatever stupid things he wishes to do. It's not my business.
[You know it's bad when she refers to Dave as his son and not by name nor as her own sibling.] No need to apologize. It's not like you were the one to completely disregard my attempts of trying to show that I care and throw it into the wind.
Action
And then to treat Rose like that? It was just screwed up, and he was kinda pissed off. But he took a few deep breaths. He had a kid in front of him to tend to, and he couldn't lose his temper and go off and punish Dave without first making sure she's okay. So finally, he lifts his head back up and looks at her.]
I just don't want you to think that just because... y'know. [He means the fact that you've only known he's your dad for a little while.] That I'm playing favourites or something. That he's gonna get off easy, or that I don't care. Because I do.
Action
Teenagers do dumb things all the time. Your son was being exceptionally dumb and compromised more than just himself, that's all. No harm done. I don't really care at this point. I have classes to worry about and better things to do with my time.
If you want to do that, be my guest.
[Best way to deflect. Just be her snooty self. She's good at this one!]
