While I'm sure nobody will care. I'm just letting everyone know that I wont be going to Hogsmead this weekend.

I'm really in no mood for frivolous traipsing about in the local town to be quiet honest. And I will very much enjoy the silence of the tower being quiet.

It will let me catch up on my writing. It's not like I wanted to go out anyway.

[She is sulking because Arthur didn't tell her that he is dating now.]

I thought you said you wanted to catch up on your writing?

Victoria, seriously, what's wrong? You've helped me out before, let me return the favour.

[It takes her a moment, and her handwriting is a little less neat.]

I am ~~was~~

Just feeling unimportant. But. It's better now.

[The word is....strange. And something he really didn't expect coming from her.]

I don't know how you got this idea, but you do matter Victoria. To me and especially to Arthur.

I had to hear from Alfred about Arthur dating him.

From his journal.

[Do you see this giant ink splotch on the page Victoria? That's Greg knocking over his ink pot.]

[The hasty scribble written, he sets to cleaning up the mess, but it's mostly to give him something to do while his brain tries to process the news he's just heard. Ten minutes, one trip to the bathroom to get rid of the black on his fingers, and a few questions to some of his fellow Hufflepuffs later, he returns back to the journal.]

That's news to me too then.

[And honestly? It stings like heck that Arthur didn't tell him either. But he can deal with his feelings later.]

I'm sure he wanted to tell you Victoria, but you know how Alfred's like. Bloody Yank is always running his mouth without thinking. He probably wrote it in the journal five minutes after

[There's a pause here, and it is with difficulty that Greg writes the remaining words.]

they decided it. Really, he wouldn't have forgotten you.

Gregory? What?

[Waits for him to come back.]

Well, Arthur did talk to me just before about it. You're right, Alfred did just get carried away.

I just can't help but still be worried.

That's good to hear. That he clarified things with you. I'm glad.

[Yet why hasn't he heard it from Arthur yet?]

What are you worried about?

That Alfred will end up taking up all his time. Arthur's the only friend I have outside of school...

Arthur would never not make time for you. I don't think he's ever let anything get in the way of spending time with you, and even if he does I bet he'll find some thing to make up for it.

[If anything, it's Greg who's got the bigger chance of losing Arthur now. They're friends, good ones at that, but that's what he once thought of between him and John, and look what happened when John stopped sharing with him? They barely talk anymore.]

Gregory, where are you?

Library. Do you want me to meet you?

No, I can come to you if that's alright?

Alright. See you at the entrance.

[And when Victoria does arrive, she'll find Greg loitering near the door, a rather concerned expression on his face. He looks at her when she gets nearer and asks:]

Are you ok, Victoria?

[She looks like she has been crying, but she seems to be mostly over it]

I am now. Thank you for letting me come, Gregory.

[He nods, unhappy to see her in such a state.]

It's fine. It's the least I can do for you.

Do you want to talk in the library? There's no one else around inside. Whatever you want, really.

[She shrugs a little]

I'm just fine with what you want.

[Just didn't want to be on her own]

[The decision's on his shoulders, huh? He shoots a quick glance around; there didn't seem to be anyone, thankfully, who was interested in the library at this point.]

I've got a table at the far end. It's quiet and secluded. We can talk there.

[She nods]

Okay, that sounds nice.

[He leads her to the back of the library, where true to his word there isn't anyone there but the two of them. Pulling a chair out for her, he waits till she's seated before he takes his own seat. His homework lays scattered everywhere on the table, but they can wait. For now, he wants to just make sure she's ok.]

[She sits down quietly straightening out her skirt putting her hands in her lap. She looks at his homework, reading some of the lines quietly and seeing where he's up to. Then she slowly looks up at him.]

Are you always this spread out?

[Her voice is soft, as she tries to act something like normal.]

[He immediately starts collecting his papers and books together. He's usually a little more tidier than this, but he had to clean up spilt ink.]

Sometimes, yeah. I like working with my books all out.

[She can try, but this is so unlike her that it near disturbs him. He's never seen her so...fragile, would be the closest word he can find. When he's stacked up his material properly to the side, he speaks to her, voice filled with concern.]

I don't think you came to talk about the state of the table though.

[She picks up a book and looks at it slowly, turning it over to look at what's written on the back.]

I just didn't want to be alone, Madeline is out with other friends. Arthur spoke to me before, made me go talk to him, I'm still a little down about it, I didn't want him to worry more.

[His face was nearly set in a perpetual frown these days. 5th year was a lot harder than he'd expected; being Quidditch captain was also starting to take its toll. He usually doesn't care what other people say, but it did get annoying to hear the rest of the school look down on the Hufflepuff team before they even got a chance to play.

And then there was this thing with Victoria, Arthur and Alfred.]

Well umm, I've got nothing to do for the rest of the day.

[Lies, he has studies, but he's still more worried about her than them at the moment.]

We could, I dunno, talk? About anything really. I'm fine.

[She puts the book down and looks at him for a moment before pulling her feet up onto the chair and hugs her legs.]

What would you like to talk about?

[She did that too, when they were at the lake and she was feeling afraid and miserable. Greg frowned and moved his chair a little closer to her; maybe she was just lonely.]

Well...what are you gonna do after 5th year? Any idea of what job you're aiming for after Hogwarts?
