I don't really have a certain kind of type really. It all boils down to personality for me anymore. I like someone I can have fun with and be serious with too.
A person can be hot on the outside but incredibly ugly on the inside. Once that ugly rears it's head I'm out.

It must take a long time to build up attraction, then. Most people seem more easily smitten. Of course, we are teenagers.

True. I mean, physical attraction does tend to come first a lot of the time but sometimes you can come to like someone you originally didn't set out to like.

People seem to put a lot of effort into searching for mates. But in this sort of environment it is easier to get to know people without the intention of courtship. I suppose it's more difficult for adults.

That's very true. I guess that's why there are so many dating websites or personal ads in newspapers for them in the Muggle world.

Do Wizards have something similar?

I'm not sure. My father only seems to interact with people through his business.

Hmm..and looking for something like a relationship while at work could be problematic. I know some work places have rules against dating co-workers.

Do they? My father dates employees and clients, but I suppose that isn't the same as co-workers.

Yeah, I know some companies frown on people dating people below them on the corporate ladder. I think they're allowed to date people of equal work status?
It depends on the company though I think.

I suppose that makes sense from an ethical standpoint. But when you own your own business, ethics are optional.

I would imagine most people use less questionable methods, however ... nothing my father does should be imitated.

Me neither. I don't think about it much at all. As long as I have a roof over my head and my guitars I'm okay.

I find the roof unnecessary. Guitars I haven't tried.
