[Herbert does not look chipper, but nor does he look foul tempered, impatient, or even uncertain. Cautious, maybe, a little pleased, perhaps. He's still not sure why Moriarity keeps seeking out his company, and he suspects he might stop once everyone gets back from the hols, but it's not so bad right now.

He carries a small black bag with her personal potion supplies in it, the ones that don't get stored in the classroom, and he opens the door for them both when he arrives.]

[He utters a sheepish thanks, almost shy. Tyen he shakes his head, he had not been bored, thinking was more like it. Returning a smile he finds himself standing awkwardly in the classroom.]</>

[His dark eyes gaze around the room, idly they take observations in before they stop on Herbert again.]

How is it not a bad thing? Unless you're a Gryffindor, as they seem to thrive on noise and disruption. But it's not as though they need to concentrate for anything they do.

Did you completely ignore the word 'disruption'? Noise is a distraction from study. It can also cause actual physical damage, though probably not at the levels produced by rowdy students.

I'm afraid I have this friend who...I suppose is an idiot and I'm afraid sometimes he doesn't listen to people. As a result, he might end up getting himself into a lot of trouble.

Plus, it feels like I owe him a lot. He might not realize it but....

Nothing you can do about that. People who are idiots are always idiots, mostly. So I guess you probably have to live with it. Or try and cover up whatever stupid stuff he does.
