so vwhat do you knowv, another year has gone by and im at the ripe age of sevwenteen starting today.
im certain not many of you knewv of my birthday, but thats alright, it isnt too late to vwish me svwell one, or to offer me any gifts you might havwe. ill be in the courtyard for the record, if saying it to my pretty face is more your style.

[Unaware that he may be about to be descended upon by an overly physically friendly Slytherin, Herbert just sniffs, holding his books to his narrow chest.] We're not 'bros', and I doubt you would understand anything I would enjoy discussing with another person.

[With his approach, and the lack of Herbert retreating outright from him, he certainly aims to put that arm around his shoulder, pulling them close, side touching side. He has no intention of letting him go.]

We may not be bros, but what's honestly stopping us, right? Why don't you try me? I'm sure I could dig whatever it is you want to talk about. You really shouldn't make such judgmental comments till you get to know a cat.

[The smaller boy jerks, startled at being touched by someone who's very nearly a stranger. He's not averse to physical contact, but who the hell is this guy? They're not the same year or the same House, so what's with all the familiarity? He stares up accusingly at Cronus, trying to lean away from him.]

Oh, yes, and what kind of marks do you get? I suppose you just happen to have an interest in medical science and magic, do you? [acidly, though there's some confusion on his face, too, because he's really not used to fending off overly friendly junior classmen]

My marks are good, good enough anyway. You really shouldn't be judging others on their marks though, that's pretty fucking rude, chief, not to mention pretty pretentious.

[He pays literally no mind to the jerk, either. He honestly doesn't care how uncomfortable he's making the other boy, because what is not being a selfish asshole?]

How is it pretentious to want to engage in intelligent conversation with someone? And I'm fairly sure you couldn't have an interest, or even fake it properly, if this is your approach. Why is it you're touching me again?
