Let's talk about dreams today.
And by that, I felt the need to talk about mine in specific.

It was fantastical and surprising. All of us were muggles! Well, I mean, those who were in my dreams. Some of us were trolls even. It was so very odd. We played a game that destroyed our worlds and we played even when we were meant to fail. I have it all written down. Every event of my dream. It would take much too long to talk about on here, but it made me wonder quite a bit.

Do you believe in alternate worlds? Universes? A time where you were something else completely. Perhaps you were a mere human with no magic to you. Or perhaps a god.

Have you ever had dreams where you felt that there was some truth to them before?

while this all may seem very fantastical i dont see why it cant be pawsible
a single decision can alter the course of our life completely
i dont know about being a god
but its easy to imagine how i or my furriends might have chosen diffurently in other places or times

Ah, yes. That is true. We are in a world where discovery happens on a daily basis.
I just wonder if anyone believes that they lived a completely different life.
Perhaps you were once something like a house cat. Or perhaps even a centaur or fantastical creature. The options are limitless.

House cats seem to really get affection. Perhaps that's not a bad option. I feel as though my cat gets nothing but positive affection and feedback. What a dastardly little thing in retrospect.
I'm not sure. I have never really considered what it would be like to lose my thumbs. I'll have to ponder that for a bit.

That sounds exciting in perhaps a very disorienting way. Ive had a good number of dreams where ive been a muggle but never quite to that extent!

To answer your question though... I have to say yes. I do believe in both alternate worlds and universes primarily because wouldnt it just be grand if they were real? Imagine if we could find a way to travel to them. To view them like a movie in a cinema-- of course with the permission of the folks that we were watching! Even if those folks were us. I used to think the same about magic except that i knew it was real because of my grandmother. I just never assumed even in my wildest dreams id actually be allowed to use it.

I was a muggle, but then I became a god. It was interesting to say the least.

Do you think there is a different life you wouldn't have minded living? If you were not who you were. There is nothing with wanting to be who you were, of course.

In Norse mythology there is a concept of multiple worlds! Nine of them. They are all connected to a tree known as Yggdrasill.

I cannot say with any certainty that there are alternate worlds, but perhaps it could be as if we are all trees like Yggdrasill and each potential universe is branching off of us.

I have had many vivid dreams! Most of them involved food, I am afraid.

I am not completely familiar with Norse mythology. I will have to read more on it when I have time.

Food is worth dreaming of, don't get me wrong.

I am sure it will fascinate you, it does tend to be pleasantly morbid at times.

I am glad you agree! Dreams of breakfast are far more pleasurable than dreams of traitors and sacrifice.

I do have dreams that involve sweets from time to time. I tend to buy some when I wake up. Obviously, I should follow my dreams. Literally.

My mor always said my dreams follow my stomach.

I have had dreams feel very real, yes.
I don't know about there being any "truth", exactly, though.
And the ones that feel realest are usually nightmares.
To be honest, I cannot tell if the one you describe is a dream or a nightmare!

I find it to be a mix. Even nightmares have some qualities that make them more dreamlike and vice versa.
There was a lot that was quite terrifying in my dream, but I think there were many great attributes to it too.

Do you think some dreams are actual moments of our lives from previous reincarnations?

Oh, I don't know.
That all seems a little far-fetched, even for magic.
I mean, what determines what parts of what lives we see, in that case?
Or what lives we get to have?

Magic seems to do even things that we did not think it could do. Perhaps we'll learn more as time progresses.
I don't believe anything really determines it. It just happens.
But I hate to think that might fate has been chosen against me.

It does seem to go against your desire to fight to succeed.
Although I suppose that's putting it too black and white, now that I put my noodle to it.
In any case, I'm not sure I would want a dream like that to be true in any lifetime.

Can't say I have.
There are theories about it, though, if Muggle scientists are to believed, and I can't see why they shouldn't be.
Wizards don't have the whole world figured out, after all.

I don't think we understand as much as we tend to imply.
Divination is such a small branch, but there's still so much to it for example. There's still so much we can learn now.

Personally I think the methods the muggle scientists have come up with for figuring shit out are pretty damn great.

Muggles have interesting ways of doing things. A bit cumbersome at time, but I don't think we give them far enough credit than they actually deserve for what they do.

But as for alternate universes. Well, that stuff's pretty weird, but I don't see why not. We're wizards. Alternate universes aren't the strangest things to actually happen, are they? But I swear to god if I'm a troll in it, I'm calling bullshit.

I bet there's an alternate universe where you are one though. Gross and hairy and hide under bridges!
