I would just like to let you all know that I am going to do everything within my power to make sure you are all safe. If any of you would like to talk privately, I am here. I know this is a difficult and scary time, and some tea and talking is a great way to calm the nerves.

Additionally, and this is nothing but a personal favour to me, and not an official rule, but... I would like to ask that until this issue is resolved and the culprit is caught, please do not hide all of your conversations over the journals with a privacy spell. When everyone is hiding things from us Professors, it looks very suspicious! And it ultimately makes it all the harder to track the person responsible down.

Obviously this is not mandatory, but it would help very much.

Azula, if you would be so kind to meet me in my office for bit of tea, I would be delighted.

[Sometime later, Iroh arrives in front of the portrait, and he's fortunate enough to meet a student arriving as well, and sends said student to let Wendy know he's arrived.]

[Wendy is clearly shaken as she climbs out to meet Iroh, but she gives him a polite smile.]

Thank you again, Professor.

[Iroh wishes he could make her feel better, but the only thing he can do is put on his brightest smile and try and cheer her up through happiness.]

It's honestly my pleasure!

[He begins walking, and suddenly stops.]

Oh, you know, I was thinking... Have you ever been down to the kitchens?

The kitchens? No, I haven't!

Well, I'm afraid during Christmas I absolutely exhausted my supply of sweets and desserts. What would you say going down to the kitchens and asking the house elves if they might be willing to cook us up a few things? I'm sure given the circumstances, they would be happy to!

Oh, Professor! I would love to visit the dear House Elves!

Excellent! I'm sure they would be happy to meet you as well.

[And he ushers for her to follow, and sets off at a leisurely pace towards the kitchens.

[Wendy follows, distracted and better for now.]

[ She makes her way to Iroh's office, quick and punctual as she always is. She knocks politely for show before entering. ]

[Iroh gestures to one of the chairs at his table.]

[ She sits, crossing her legs casually as her uncle prepares the tea. ]

You know, Uncle, you really don't have to.

What kind of host would I be if I didn't serve the tea? Oh, would you like some crumpets as well? I must say, I love being stereotypical on occasion.

Ugh, fine. Tea and crumpets, then. Let's get all lovely and friendly now.

[ She sighs ]

Uncle - I know you want to talk to me about something, so just get it over with already.

Please have a little patience, Azula. It's quite rude to pester the host.

[Nonetheless, he finishes up around that time, and floats a tray of crumpets and tea over to the table, and sits down across from Azula.]

Cream? Sugar?

[ She takes a cup irritably and takes a gulp - wincing at the strength of the tea and the heat of the water. Oops.

She'll just.. delicately take a crumpet now. ]

Oh, how very daring.

[He carefully adds a bit of cream and sugar to his, and deliberately takes his time stirring it in.]

So, what sort of magic have you been learning lately in school? Anything interesting?

[ She takes smaller sips of the tea now, trying not to show how bitter she finds it ]

Nothing I can't handle, I assure you - and nothing out of the ordinary, either.

Why do you ask?

[He takes a sip of tea, and is silent for a good, long while.]

I'm sure you know exactly why I'm asking, Azula. If you've been teaching yourself unforgivable curses in secret and finally decided to put one into practice, then... Not only as your teacher, but as your uncle, I deserve to know. Because that is dangerous even for you.

[she puts the teacup down and takes a bite out of one of the crumpets, rolling her eyes as she listens to her uncle's concerns ]

Ugh, you don't really think there's any truth in that halfblood's ridiculous accusations, do you uncle?
No. I am not stupid enough to be practicing unforgivable curses with the trace still on me, even if I were to think I could get away with studying them here. Even father knows I wouldn't do something that risky.

That's very kind of you, professor. I wouldn't mind joining you for tea, if you have a moment.

Oh, certainly! I would never pass up the chance to have tea with you. Is there something on your mind?

Just Professor Dumbledore's announcement, of course.
