Prim saved up her allowance and bought this for me for my birthday. She thinks I should make some more friends and talk to people.

I might just use this to put all of my herbology information though, it's more practical that way. If people want to talk to me they can just find me and do it face to face.

So far I've just seen other girls crying about their make up disappearing and Dragon eggs, I hope it's not always like this.

Probably both. You can learn from self observation as well.

I agree.
The journals are a rather good way to keep in contact with the other students, for academic reasons as well as social. If you do not wish to socialize through this medium, perhaps think of it in that light?

That sounds like a good idea. I think that I'll still try to be more social since my sister went to the trouble to buying it for me.
