I hope you're all happy! After that journal thing. My mum got so angry that Dad had to talk her out of sending Professor Dumbledore a Howler.

She's only letting me use my journal when she's around to read what I'm looking at and what I'm writing. She only just let me use it at all. She nearly took it away until fall term.

So writing notes to my best friend? Can't happen. I might miss homework. I definitely can't keep up with my classmates like I usually would.

So yeah. Thanks for ruining my summer.

The discussion itself did, but I think it was that as a whole - well, except for that thing with Shinra, which is a whole different kettle of fish - that did it.

Do let your mother know that someone is indeed working on making filters, with sanction of not one but two professors now, and that hopefully this whole mess won't be repeated any time soon.

Shinra is honestly clueless, I think. He doesn't mean any harm, he just lacks any sense of social norms or tact. Anyone who takes a direct statement of discomfort and discouragement and completely fails to interpret it as such is, I'm afraid, a little beyond help.
