I just wanted to extend my thanks to the Slytherin students for sharing their dormitories with us. It was a very generous offer and is greatly appreciated.

And to strongly encourage anyone who might be interested on biology as it relates to magic to join the Medical Science and Magic Society. Because from what I can tell, it promises to be very interesting!

Where's the Slytherin dorm at? I wish I could go visit people there!

What sort of things would you be doing in that club? I have only learnt a little bit about biology, but it the subject itself is really interesting. There's just so much that falls under it!

They're in the dungeons and very close to the lake, which has been a very interesting change of scenery.
You're in Gryffindor, aren't you? How are you finding the Hufflepuff dorms?

And as far as the Medical Science and Magic Society is concerned, It's only just been founded, so I'm not exactly sure of what we'll be studying. But if you have a particular subject of interest, I'm sure you would be able to bring it up! In any case, of you're at all interested, we'd be very happy to have you!

They're okay. The people in here are nice, it's just really crowded and I'd prefer to get settled into my own dorm room instead of just lingering here. It's just me, though, because everyone else seems to be enjoying it. It just seems a bit tedious considering there's classes to contend with as well.

I'd rather not commit until I know I like it; otherwise that'd be rude on my part. Are you going to have an informational meeting? I would at least be interested in going to that. I lack the foresight of knowing how much I can manage until I know what the work load is for classes.

I'm not sure, since I'm not really in any sort of authoritarian position within the club, but I imagine the first meeting will be fairly introductory. But I don't think it would be much trouble for you to leave if you don't feel you can handle it.
It's up to you, really.

And I'm glad to hear the Hufflepuff students have been pleasant. I don't know many very well aside from Leijon, but she is very interesting!

Oh, Nepeta? She's really nice. I met her over the summer. Roxy and I had to stay at her house.

Excuse me? I can't imagine many hearts would fit in one jar, if they were human. But no, certainly not. I'm not at that stage in my research.

I think it would probably depend on the size of the jar. But I suppose the point is irrelevant, since you're not collecting hearts at the moment.

How is your research coming along?

Leaps and bounds over the summer, but I suppose things will slow a bit, especially as we're in the Slytherin dorms for awhile. It's almost impossible to get any privacy around here, it's frankly ridiculous. But it is nice to have access to the library again.

It seems you were making inquiries of your own this summer. I can't imagine your informal survey led to any quantifiable information, though - you are aware that people are much less likely to answer truthfully in public settings, and your data would be skewed by the selection method, anyway?

You're probably right about that. In retrospect, we probably would have gotten more accurate results ~~and much less~~ if we'd allowed people to respond anonymously. And perhaps if we'd asked more specific questions.
We really didn't put enough thought into the survey beforehand.

I'm so glad to hear that your research is going well! And I am sure that you'll be able to get much more done once we're back at the tower and now that you have a completely different library to draw on. What have you been working on this time?

Part of that is working with laymen. I am sure Jaeger and Makara are friends of yours, for whatever reason, but they hardly make ideal research partners. It would be really better to take control over that sort of thing yourself. Perhaps use them for the recruitment of subjects.

I myself having been looking at the distribution of energy through the body, and the difference between the energy in magical and non-magical people, or if there are different types, and what each does, especially as it concerns the animation of living tissue. My uncle has some extremely interesting equipment that has help direct my inquiries.

I suppose you're right about that.
But the're still having to share their quarters, so I should probably thank them. And they have been very gracious for the most part.

I'm not exactly sure, but I've been told that a ghost lizard has been asking about a jar of hearts and I figured that if anyone would be interested in keeping a heart in a jar, it would be one of you. Or me. But I know it couldn't have been me.

Okay. Shinra, have you been sampling Gamzee's substances? I know you two are friends.

I did once, but that was a month ago.

Why do you ask?

Because that is the most ridiculous scenario I have ever heard of. This isn't related to that stupid Jaeger's post about lizards of shame, is it?

It is related to Maxim's post, but he really isn't stupid.
I think he has reason to be concerned about this ghost lizard.
I would be concerned if a ghost lizard was following me.

It was sort of volunteered for us, but it's the thought that counts.

I suppose you're right about that.

But your hospitality is appreciated nonetheless. And I hope you would also feel welcome in our quarters if they had been volunteered on our behalf.

That would be a laugh. You lot have riddles to get in, right? There are far, far too few hours in the day to spend it playing word games.

That can be inconvenient sometimes.
But once you've figured out who happens to be good with riddles and when they have classes, it isn't too much trouble.

It is alright. Nothing I cannot deal with, when all is said and done.

They didn't offer it to us. Our high professor slum lord, Dumbledore arranged it that way.

But hey, at least you're right in saying this is going to be interesting.

Yeah, I got to admit. They weren't all that boring.

Big things are happening, so I can't do anything but agree.
