I just wanted to extend my thanks to the Slytherin students for sharing their dormitories with us. It was a very generous offer and is greatly appreciated.

And to strongly encourage anyone who might be interested on biology as it relates to magic to join the Medical Science and Magic Society. Because from what I can tell, it promises to be very interesting!

Just out of curiosity, have either of you been collecting a jar of hearts?

Excuse me? I can't imagine many hearts would fit in one jar, if they were human. But no, certainly not. I'm not at that stage in my research.

I think it would probably depend on the size of the jar. But I suppose the point is irrelevant, since you're not collecting hearts at the moment.

How is your research coming along?

Leaps and bounds over the summer, but I suppose things will slow a bit, especially as we're in the Slytherin dorms for awhile. It's almost impossible to get any privacy around here, it's frankly ridiculous. But it is nice to have access to the library again.

It seems you were making inquiries of your own this summer. I can't imagine your informal survey led to any quantifiable information, though - you are aware that people are much less likely to answer truthfully in public settings, and your data would be skewed by the selection method, anyway?

You're probably right about that. In retrospect, we probably would have gotten more accurate results and much less if we'd allowed people to respond anonymously. And perhaps if we'd asked more specific questions.
We really didn't put enough thought into the survey beforehand.

I'm so glad to hear that your research is going well! And I am sure that you'll be able to get much more done once we're back at the tower and now that you have a completely different library to draw on. What have you been working on this time?

Part of that is working with laymen. I am sure Jaeger and Makara are friends of yours, for whatever reason, but they hardly make ideal research partners. It would be really better to take control over that sort of thing yourself. Perhaps use them for the recruitment of subjects.

I myself having been looking at the distribution of energy through the body, and the difference between the energy in magical and non-magical people, or if there are different types, and what each does, especially as it concerns the animation of living tissue. My uncle has some extremely interesting equipment that has help direct my inquiries.
