So, it seems as though I might have procrastinated on this but,
Does anyone have an idea of what would be considered an adequate subject for writing a rap on? What type would even be appropriate?
Technically it's like free-style poetry, but what sort of elements should I be sure to include?
Alliteration? Consonance? Unfortunately this isn't my area of expertise because this'll be my first time attempting this.
But I don't want to get kicked out of class.
Also, does anyone know centimetres to inches conversion off hand?

I guess I'm a bit mistrusting of others sometimes, because when someone says something like that to me I have a hard time believing it.
I don't doubt his affections; I know he loves me and that he really would do all that he could for me.
It's more that... I guess I lack that faith in myself. Which is really weird to actually admit, just so you know.
I'm afraid something bad'll happen, too. Something I can't fix.

I wish I'd been half as eloquent as you at your age.
But that aside, lacking faith in yourself isn't a crime and I'd say it's normal at your age.
What you can't do is let that uncertainty dictate what you do with your life on the whole.
What's the worst that can happen? Really?

I suppose you're right, though. It seems to be a fairly normal thing throughout the upcoming teenage years too, from what I've read.
He could die.

There's more to this than you being scared of disappointing your uncle, isn't there?

And if you're wrong?

[That's not necessarily the case. He knows his uncle loved him and cared before then, even if he wasn't around much at all.]

Bullshit.
I'm not going to believe for a sodding moment that a man who looks like he does when he talks about you only loves you because your father is dead and you don't have anyone else.

He didn't see you often so he can't possibly love you all that much?
I think you know as much as I do that that is a load of utter bollocks.

There's just stuff going on and I don't know what to think of it. In a way I appreciate it but at the same time, it doesn't make much of a difference.
Because he might say that I'm like a son to him but it doesn't change the fact that I'm not. The only one he has is Dave.
And. I know that might not make sense to you out of context and I apologise for that.
I just want to make my dad proud and Uncle Dirk proud. But I always feel conflicted and so much like a waste of space sometimes it just seems inevitable that I'll end up failing.

"Like a son".
That's a whole other kettle of fish.
You don't have to be his son by blood for him to hold you at the same level as Dave.
There's this thing called a self-fulfilling prophecy.
It means a prediction which either directly or indirectly causes itself to come true, simply because you believe that it will, by creating positive feedback between belief and behaviour. What I'm saying here is, if you keep telling yourself you're going to fail, then that's exactly what you're going to do. Your fear of failure is what will eventually cause it.
Dirk.
I'm quite sure you're already making your uncle proud, and your dad, wherever he is.
Re: [Filtered]
What you say makes sense. It's just hard to look at it in that manner right now.
