I understand that it might be a little difficult to handle given that it's only the first week back, but I can't be the only one appalled by the behaviour of the students, can I?

Honestly. It's gotten to the point where detention has become a joke and removing points is a formality. I actually have no idea how I'm meant to deal with the amount of misbehaviour going on when they won't listen to a word I say! A student went so far as to

It's a little difficult to comprehend. Is there any advice anybody can give me, because I am at a loss here. I think perhaps it's time for a discussion amongst ourselves before things get even more out of hand.


We're much stronger as team than we are individually, in any case.

it depends on the student and the offense.

Misbehaviour of a sexual nature and general disrespect and disregard for rules.

if it's in class, i've found that
SIMPLY PETRIFYING A STUDENT WHO REFUSES TO BEHAVE
works wonders. Mostly because those types find
BEING FROZEN INTENSELY BORING.
muffling charms are also useful.
HOWEVER, SEXUAL MISBEHAVIOR IS MUCH MORE SPECIFIC.
are you talking about finding teenagers doing what teenagers do?

I was unsure if petrifying was entirely acceptable, but I imagine it could be if they pushed enough.
Though,I've never had a particularly difficult time keeping them focused when in lessons. My concerns lie outside of the classroom.
Teenagers putting their hands on myself their peers and making remarks in a nonconsensual manner. I would be less abhorrent toward this behaviour were it simply flirting, but it's not always mutual.

i believe anything short of scars is acceptable.
IF YOU HAVE SEXUAL HARASSMENT IN THE CLASSROOM, HOWEVER,
i would recommend teaching certain self defense hexes that
INVOLVE A BIT MORE PAIN.
impotency charms can do the trick, as well.

What if, by some miracle, the behaviour persists after the use of such tactics? What then?

THEN BAN THE CHILD FROM YOUR CLASS ENTIRELY.
the threat of failing a required course is generally a powerful one, i've noted.
AND FORCED SEXUAL ATTENTIONS ARE A SERIOUS OFFENSE.

have you consulted with the appropriate colleague, then?
IF NOT, HOW WAS THIS BROUGHT TO YOUR ATTENTION?
clearly, some collaboration seems in order, if this is a
REPEATED OFFENSE.

I've no idea who we should consult, but perhaps collarboration could be of some help.
