And really, the year's not over yet. So we can't be sure how many of those points will ultimately be mine.

Not that I care about any of that. I just like proving how much better I am.

Well yeah sure. If I don't have time to do both. I mean hey, even I get too busy sometimes.

Let's face it. Everything I do is a worthwhile pursuit.

Not true. I could just be an overachiever, doing these things so I get the best grades.

I'm not, but hey. Why rule it out.

That would simply mean you believe getting the best grades is the most worthwhile pursuit. Perhaps it is--I have not been here long enough to form an opinion of the syllabus.

"Worthwhile" is subjective. There are people who think making it to class on time is worthwhile.

It is certainly the easiest route, and not exactly difficult. Except in the case of getting lost, perhaps.

But you have better things to do?

There isn't a time I don't have something better to do, to be honest.

Of course. Hey, I might be a genius and ahead of the class. But that doesn't mean I can't learn alternative ways to do something, or a nugget of information I've missed or gleaned over in the past.

And learning others' ways of doing things is definitely a useful shortcut.

Yeah, I've found if you ignore them and do it your way and it gets results. They can't scold you.
