Second Trigger Warning
I'm not entirely certain what kind of illusion this is, but it is a very convincing one. A...very. Convincing one. I have no idea how it was accomplished, but whoever did it should be commended for their creativity, as well as for their talent.

Action
Good evening, Theodore.
Action
Kankri, what---????
Action
Can I come in?
Action
[He opens the door wider and shifts out of the way. He doesn't know what to make of this.]
So you. Haven't always been like this, right?
[Don't mind him being dumb. He just. Needs to verify things.]
Action
No, I haven't. Well, I was, long ago, but. Until just a few minutes ago, I was no more tangible or bound by gravity than any other corporeally-challenged persons in the castle.
You see now why I thought you deserved to know?
Action
Yes. I do. I appreciate you... letting me know of this. [He's quieter than usual. Suddenly volume control is a thing he has.
But this lasts for half a second]
So!! Do you want something to drink? I have coke! What a fabulous fizzy mu---drink that is! [Yup, deflecting all feelings on this away with the offer of soda. Take the bait, take the bait.]
Action
Still, nonetheless, he can't help but feel slightly...disappointed. About what, he doesn't know.]
If it wouldn't be too much trouble, I wouldn't mind a drink at all.
Action
Not a problem at all! Come, have a seat!
[He produces his wand from his pocket and two bottles of coke are set on his desk, lids popped and with straws. He pulls his chair around from behind the desk and sets it near the one intended for Kankri. As soon as he's seated, he's slurping on his drink and is taking this moment to try to sort out anything and everything he feels about this at all. There's just so much to say but he hasn't a clue of what to say.
Because the last time they were both in the flesh and alive, they were staring down each other's wands.]
Action
The silence is a little awkward. As is the powerful taste that overwhelms his mouth after so long of senses dulled by death, when the only thing he could come close to tasting was rotting food. The bubbles against his tongue make his eyes widen in surprise, and he. Can't. Help. But smile.]
I honestly have no idea how this is possible. Even living in a world of magic, something to this remarkable extent is nothing short of a miracle. No offense, if you don't happen to believe in the possibility of such things. I don't either, for the most part, honestly, but, well, it's an undeniable fact, at this point.
Action
It's been too long since he's seen his old (sort of, definitely not real, except he really is )friend smile. For good reason. That's a thought he can't shake and that certainly doesn't help Theodore's very circular thinking.]
This... It's definitely something! I don't know what, but it's definitely a think that's happening! Can't really ignore it even if it can't be logically explained!
[He gives a short laugh before sucking down more on his soda. It's almost gone. It's such a contrast; while he enjoys drinking it, the taste is almost dulled to him.]
I don't know why this happened. But I think it's perhaps a good thing. [For Kankri, if not for anyone else.]
Action
He's quiet, taking contemplative sips of his soda and feeling the sugary aftertaste heavy on his tongue, the smell of the carbonation tickling his nose every time he raises it to his lips.]
For once, I agree. I have no way of knowing how long it will last, but...I hope I can begin to make up for how...abruptly I was discorporated. This could prove to be quite an incredible opportunity for closure, for all parties involved. Even moreso, perhaps, than the knowledge of my continued yet transcorporeal existence.
[To say nothing of being able to touch people, to hug them, to enjoy however briefly those things that most people take for granted.]
Action
But the more he worries about this. The more he feels guilty about this... the quicker it all goes away. He can't explain it, but he isn't going to question it. He just immediately feels happy to have this moment with Kankri.]
You really should do everything you can. It could be... It could be fun.
