I'm not sure if anyone else has been having this issue with their goats, but Zazzerpan has been following me around and bleating very insistently for quite a while now and I'm getting to be very worried about him. I know that I've been feeding him sufficiently and I've checked him for injuries or possible disease a number of times, so I'm really not sure of what could be wrong.

Any input or suggestions would be much appreciated.

I wouldn't want to do that! He's perfectly healthy and even if he wasn't, I'm sure I would be able to treat him.

He's just been very insistent about something and I can't figure out what it is.

Yes. Goats do need to be fed on a regular basis.

Perhaps, but I have been spending quite a lot of my free time with him. And he doesn't stop bleating even when he has my undivided attention. In fact, sometimes that makes him bleat even more insistently.

I do spend quite a lot of time with him, but I think he just bleats more when I'm around.

Do you think he might dislike me?

That's what everyone has been saying, but I have been trying to spend as much time with him as I can. I didn't know goats required so much companionship.

It would be nice if they could speak, wouldn't it? I am beginning to get the sense that mine wants to tell me something.

Try head-butting him - he might just want you to play with him.

But wouldn't he initiate head-butting himself if that's what he wanted to do?


Then again, it's highly possible that Zazzerpan isn't an alpha type. So you may have a very good point, Bruce.

I'm beginning to think that's the case, Gamzee. Especially given that he tends to bleat more often when he has my undivided attention.
