like a breath of fresh air, and an artist like myself honestly needs that once in a vwhile.
i think im gonna rightly enjoy myself here, definitely beats howv immutably boring greece has become to me.
plus, theres so many attractivwe cats and kittens here, i dont evwen knowv vwhere to start.

[And with that last bit said, he closes his journal and goes on his way. Still new to Hogwarts and all, so excuse him if he's a little late. It's a big school okok. Also don't mind that he's HARDLY wearing his school uniform, in fact it's never been further from. Mmm 1950's style clothes, I'm sure it's the type of attire that brings a prideful tear to Murdoc's eye.]

[It's no surprise Murdoc arrives with time to spare, since he attended the same school for a whole seven years and now an extra five months.

When he sees Cronus he can't help but. Stare. It's been a long time but he's certainly grown...taller. Yes. Taller.

He strides toward him, frowning in disapproval at his attire. Now. Does he hug him? Is he meant to hug him? What do you do in these situations? He's just going to place a hand on his shoulder and shake him gently, nodding down at him.]

Don't you have robes?

[He quirks an eyebrow, waiting for less than half a second of silence before he uses that hand on his shoulder to slam Cronus against his chest, wrapping his arms around him for the most awkward hug ever. Ssssh. Daddy needs this right now.]

[The feeling that comes from seeing Murdoc is remarkable, really. He hadn't really realized how much he had missed his father till now. Sure, speaking to him was nice, but to actually see him--to feel his hand on his shoulder... Yeah, wasn't even comparable. He can't help that smirk on his face at Murdoc's disapproving look, he knew it was coming.]

Of course I do.

[That's really all he can say before he's being slammed against his father's chest and being hugged. It certainly is awkward, definitely unexpected, but it's nice. And maybe he's just going to hug Murdoc back. They're alone after all, not like he needs to keep up his cool image when he's alone with his dad--plus, it's been forever. They could both use a hug. It's not like Cronus can remember the last time he's gotten one anyways.]

Damn, I knew you missed me, but I wasn't expecting a hug--don't think I'm complaining any either. I'm not.

[It's true that Cronus isn't exactly the Golden Child as far as Murdoc is concerned, but he's very confident in the idea that he made Cronus and therefore, Cronus is good.

Honestly, he's horrible at affection and the social cues that come with them, but it's been a very rough couple of months. Seeing Cronus just reminds him of every single dreary detail that he needs to bring up again to explain the situation to Cronus. He only hopes he'll take it better than Eridan, though he doubts it. Dramatics seem to run in the famly.

That said, he's a little surprised when Cronus hugs him back. He'd almost expected him to fight off his dad embarrassing him in public. So this is. Nice. He supposes.

Yeah, he's done with it. He puts his hands on his shoulders and geeeently peels Cronus off, staring down at him with the raised eyebrow of judgement.]

Don't think too much of it. [Smoothing out your sleeves, you slob.] If you have them, why aren't you wearin' them?

[Honestly, it'd be surprising if he was. However, that's some pretty sound self-obsessed logic there Murdoc, A+.]

[When Murdoc peels Cronus off him, Cronus hardly fights it, allowing him to do it with ease, even letting his arms fall to his sides as he looks up at his father, that dumb grin still plastered on his face. He expected as much, that the sentimentality of this all to be limited, but that's alright. It would be weird and embarrassing if shit got too mushy.]

That's simple, I look better in these than those. Robes are so not groovy.

[His inner dialogue will be as self-obsessed as he wishes, don't judge him you little brat.

Murdoc hadn't expected him to fight, he isn't Eridan afterall. He rolls his eyes a little in response to the goofy smile, but he knows deep down that he missed seeing it around.]

Robes are part of your uniform. You are expected to wear them. [Huff!] But that's not what we're here to talk about, is it? Didn't you have somethin' to ask me?

[No judging here man, just casual amusement.]

[He nods, robes really aren't what they were going to talk about, though a slight distraction from the issue at hand never hurts any either. Kinda makes it a bit easier to ease into saying this--that is if Cronus honestly had any issues saying it, but he really doesn't. It's not like he is the one who has some EXPLAINING TO DO.]

[Yeah his grin isn't even fading any.]

What's all the hubbub about me having myself more siblings than I last remembered me having?

That's a rather complicated question to start with.

[He'd honestly been hoping he got those letters by some miracle and hadn't felt the need to reply. Also that maybe he had a simple question to ask, not that any come to mind right now.]

Feferi is a product of a past relationship that I was not informed of until I bumped into her Mother. She teaches astronomy, her name is Constance Peixes. I believe you met over the journals.

[Nope. No reason to beat around the bush here.]

[Beating around the bush is for losers anyways. Cronus rather the information up front than trying to dig for it, digging is dirty and could potentially mess up his hair, definitely not an activity he wants to be a part of, even figuratively.]

And she's hardly younger than myself, so if I'm adding this up right, it was probably while mom was still alive.

[He... doesn't sound bitter, more matter of fact. Probably an alarming contrast with how Eridan's handled the news,honestly. Yeah, he didn't get the heads up Murdoc tried to send for whatever reason, something having to do with his own stubbornness towards wizardy things while "discovering" himself. Probably.]

[Okay, ouch. That one is a little harder to answer.]

It. Ah. Yes, yes it was..roughly..around that time.

[He nods, partly to himself so he can keep going on about this without just backing the hell out. Things that may possibly involve feelings are difficult and shouldn't happen.

This will be so much easier if he just gets it over with and then refuses to ask any other questions in the future.]

That said, I should mention she has a twin sister. Her name is Meenah. She's in your year, too. She's a little less... [Friendly, nice, welcoming, accepting.] She's shy.

[It's okay Murdoc, really. Cronus knows how it is, wanting to get down and dirty with other ladies even if you have a lady of your own. It's a normal thing, totally. Nothing he plans to hold against his father at all. Best son.]

... Wait so I have two sisters? Well, I already got me a surprise sister, why not two, I guess. But shy, eh? That's fine, I know how to deal with shy people plenty! I'm sure we'll get along great.

[Except he doesn't know shit and Meenah will probably hate him, but whatever!]

[As far as Murdoc is concerned, Eridan and Cronus are the same dumb little boys who can't pronounce big words or tie their shoelaces. So they certainly know nothing about sex!!

Yeah, no. He knows that's a lie. He honestly has no idea how much they're meant to know, but he has no intention of going into any sort of detail here.]

Yes, twins. I'm sure you'll get along swimmingly as long as you stay on their mother's good side. She can be quite strict, as I'm sure you've realised. [When Murdoc tells you someone is strict, you know they are.]
