I'm glad those creepy things that followed some of us around are gone. Did anyone else have one? It got really annoying being called a failure 24/7.

The holidays are coming up pretty quickly. I'm going home for sure. It'll be kind of nice to get back to my recording equipment. I've written out a few new songs and I'd really like to finally get them down.

Oh, and speaking of the holidays we have the Yule Ball to start thinking of as well. The Music Club is going to be playing so we'll have to work on a playlist for that as well. I'm thinking we should do a mix of traditional holiday songs and some normal songs as well?

And more importantly...I'll need a date. Not a just-friends-date either. I'd like to take my date out beforehand. I'll even actually dress up.

Is anyone particularly knowledgeable about cats?

Mine has taken to killing spiders and bringing them to me. I would very much like her to stop. Sometimes they're not completely dead and I have to put the poor things out of their misery. I'm not sure what I did that would make her think I'm incapable of hunting for myself or whatever thought is drifting about in her vapid feline brain, but any suggestions for deterrents would be appreciated.

I must apologize for the delay in addressing the Halloween incident. You can rest easy knowing that I've been hard at work on the matter ever since it happened, contacting the Ministry and coming to the best course of action.

The Ministry and I believe that a powerful, dark magical object was brought into the school as a prank intended to make the ministry look like a fool for disregarding the incident at camp. The situation got out of hand, as you are all well aware of. As such, the Ministry has decided that in the next couple of weeks, security in the castle is going to be tightened considerably. Random trunk checks will be conducted and anyone leaving or entering the castle will be searched thoroughly, as will mail.

Finally, I will be questioning everyone personally. I will find out who did this, and I will make sure they are punished accordingly, expulsion being the minimum.

I have noticed something very interesting happening to me quite often lately!! At Hogsmeade, the people at Honeydukes kept offering to sell me blood pops, and it is very nice that they try to sell me things and make money, I do not understand why they want to sell me such items?? ~~I was just there to buy chocolate frogs and licorice wands and~~ Also, just the other day, I was outside enjoying lovely sun and nice cool weather and someone offered umbrella to me? I do not need umbrella it is not raining? It was very sunny not single cloud in sky!

And then last night, one of my roommates made comment about how difficult it must be to brush my teeth and how they must be sensitive? Perhaps my gums were red or something? I do not understand but these have been happening more and more.

Does it mean anything, or am I simply paranoid?

The temperature around here sure has dropped rather quickly hasn't it? I feel even more cold all the time. I think I might start wearing thermal shirts under my uniform.

I've been thinking since we'll all be spending more time indoors would people be interested in maybe having game nights? We could get together in The Great Hall and play cards or board games.
I was thinking poker could be fun..instead of money we could play for candy or something.
What do you guys think?

Quite the match, wasn't it? Not only was it an impressive athletic spectacle, but it certainly left me curious about what's going on with some of our professors.

I think I'll be knitting a Ravenpuff scarf for myself, for when we don't have to be in uniform. The blue and yellow and black and bronze... It all looks rather nice together. Anyone else want one?

I gotta say I'm really looking forward to this weekend's Quidditch match!

Not only does it mean the start of Quidditch season (!!!) but I'm especially looking forward to the teacher's match. It'll be so cool to see some of Hogwart's best players take the field again :)

Does anybody have any favourite teams they root for over the sesaon? And I don't just mean in school I mean in the Cup itself. Personally I go for the Wimbourne Wasps - gotta support the home team after all!
