Now that everyone is done celebrating boorish feats of strength, I was wondering if I could get 5-10 volunteers to help me test a new spell that I've been working on. It's a very simple security spell, and I can guarantee with 82% certainty that you won't get hurt if you agree to be a subject. It's not intended to be harmful, we'll put it that way. (You might, however, experience residual tingling in the extremities, and possibly loosened bowels. I'm still working out the kinks.

For liability reasons, I'll only take volunteers third year and up (I would say fifth and up, but, well, I wouldn't want to exclude anyone my age). My name is Billy Harris, Slytherin 5th year, and if you leave your name, house, and year I will contact you within the next few days to sort out the experiment.

I was going to gloat over Gryffindor being in negative points for the House Cup, but then I realized that we're also in the negatives. The same negatives! As Gryffindor!

I always forget the frenzy that the mindless activity of athletics tends to spark in the hive-mind of the school. I'll probably never understand the draw of institutionalized violence, but whatever. I could actually care less.

Now if only the Gryffindumbs could leave the rest of the castle out of their celebrations and just let everything go back to normal.

Ah... I do hate to be the reminder of bad news, considering everyone seems to be getting on fine with their planning for Valentine's and Hogsmeade and other such fun studently things, but that doesn't change the fact that someone still used an unforgivable curse, and we still don't know who that someone was.

So I feel like I should remind you that I am always open to talk to, just stay after class if you're in mine, or come knock on my door, or both, or... or neither, if you don't want! But...

Just be safe, hm?

Students and staff, I regret to inform you that we have a serious predicament on our hands.

I recieved word from the Ministry today that there has been a report of the use of an Unforgivable Curse by a minor, within the Hogwarts grounds.

While we do not yet know the identity of the individual that cast the curse, I can assure you that we will be doing everything we can to discover them, and anyone who may have had a hand in the affair. The safety of my students is my utmost concern.

Until the culprit or culprits are caught, I must insist that students take great care in the corridors. You shall be accompanied to and from classes by your professors, and I would ask that any free time is spent in your respective common rooms, rather than roaming the castle. Prefects, I must ask you your cooperation as well, to see that these rules are upheld.

I am truly sorry that such a thing should happen during what should be a time of peace and celebration.

I would like to request all staff members meet in my office at your earliest convenience.

Hey, has anyone taken a look at the house points board lately? Because thanks to the actions of a certain complete toolbox who shall remain nameless, Slytherin is not only dead last but also in the negatives!

Not to mention, everyone thinks that we're made of the same stuff because we got saddled with him in our house.

Are we going to stand for this? I say hell no! And we need to let him know that we're not going to put up with it, either. We'll make him rue the day he crossed the house of cunning ambition!

But of course we'll have to be incredibly sneaky to get away with it without professors finding out.
