22 things that are horribly wrong with my life

As hilarious and thoroughly entertaining as it was to watch our esteemed and ancient Professors bumble about on the pitch, I fully expect that the actual Slytherin team will do quite a bit better than that lot did.

I say this not as a captain, but a very nearly unbiased observer.

That being said, I hope my teammates are staying in tip-top shape in preparation for the match on Sunday. Practising may seem grueling at the moment, but it will all pay off in the end. Particularly if we want to beat out Ravenclaw in points.

It would have been more hilarious and entertaining if Fernandez hadn't managed to stay on his broom for so long. His sudden and unexpected competence cost me two galleons.

All geriatric attempts at Quidditch aside, good luck on Sunday. Unless of course you don't think think you'll be needing it.

I'm not going to turn down luck, especially from my own house. Even if you can be a massive prat at times.

Out of everyone who chose to play, he's probably the least competent in general. Why else would he teach Care of Magical Creatures?

I know that now and might bet against her in future, but she seems like the sort who would take steps to avoid taking an epically humiliating tumble twice.

I haven't even brought in my arrogant bias into this yet. If I had I would have said something about you needing leprechauns helping you out with luck.

Oh really? It sounds like someone is a bit concerned if they had to come assert their *~dominance~* in all areas luck related. I'm surprised that there was no mention of pots of gold while you were at it.

I think I'm at just the proper amount of cockiness, with a helping of rationality, and just a dash of nerves. It's quite the combo.

I didn't think thirty seven was particularly old, given that the majority of wizards in the ministry are over the sprightly age of eighty.

That being said, you might want to watch your quill. Your esteemed professors on the losing team may well be looking for something to ease their sour moods. A target, perhaps.

Professor Donoghue, don't look at it as being old, look at it as remembering your twilight years fondly and maturing, like many other fine aged things. Like cheese or a rib eye steak or something.

I'm not taking it as being old because I'm not old. Though I will appreciate the comparison to food, perhaps wine would have been a more fitting metaphor.

Honestly Professor, when you are over the hill, it is best to just accept it and prepare for living your life as a pensioner. I know the incontinence knickers may not seem ideal at the moment, but you will come to accept them in time.
