I doubt anyone else would be aware of this except for Dave, but next Saturday, the tenth, is Uncle Dirk's birthday. Or Professor Strider, rather.
I don't know if he has any intention of celebrating his birthday at all, but I doubt it. I'd like to organise a surprise gathering for his birthday. I guess the size of said gathering and the venue used would depend upon the number of people interested in attending.
Tentatively, one of the classrooms would work well, perhaps in the afternoon, to decrease the likelihood of breaking curfew.

If anyone's interested, let me know. Please don't tell him or even vaguely hint at anything.

Great! Do you have any experience in organising these sorts of things? I don't firsthand, but I have a general idea. Do you think we need to get permission or?

Considering what we're doing I think getting permission would be a good idea, but we'd need to ask someone who won't let it slip to Professor Strider...

There are a rather large amount of artifacts in there and, as you said, we don't know how large the party will end up being. I'm sure there are a number of pleasant and unoccupied classrooms that aren't filled with dead things.
