Things are much better. Have been much better. I doubt there were a great many concerned but for the few annoying individuals who would not leave well enough alone, I am quite alright. The less said the better, honestly.

I'm not certain what Snow is thinking. Dark Magic like this is not something that could so easily infiltrate Hogwarts. He knows as much. I am beginning to suspect rather than being stupid, he is intentionally trying to hide something.

Far too early to go too far with such speculations. But I will certainly keep good records of these events for future analysis. Jumping to conclusions is the worst we could do in the interim. This makes two attacks in less than a year. There will be more. There can be certainty in that fact alone.

I would like to point out that I, for one am very glad to see you back as you would. I don't know what Snow is thinking but I think that you can not help but be thankful that the events were dealt with quickly and smoothly by the ministry. It's good that you can go back as you would; I am afraid I do not believe I would have been able to go back to normal after that much damage. I cannot stress this enough, Sherlock, there isn't more to this than someone simply pulling a prank with power that they should not have been using, nothing more than that. I think we should all just get over this.

I spoke with Professor Donoghue on the subject. He was under the impression it was Dark Magic. However, blaming a student is ridiculous. The trace alone would cause issue and smuggling something like a cursed object in would require a much more powerful spell than any child could cast.

Searching students is time intensive and keeps eyes on the larger population at Hogwarts. It would make it easier in the long run for the true culprit to continue on.

It is an adult behind this all, obviously. Snow is either protecting that adult or also uncertain as to which teacher it is. Seeing how they follow through with these new rules and making it seem his suspicions are elsewhere may be a ploy to draw them out.

Snow could be on the side of good here and his methods might be simple diversion tactics.

There are a great many variables to consider.

I think the questions we should be asking is; when did everyone start to feel affected by the "dark magical object" (if there is one) and where it was possible it could have been placed where everyone would be around it. If it was a normal enough object it probably wouldn't be too obvious.

It began after the memorial. There were a lot of changes and extra decorations that day so it could have been anything but likely something specific to those extra items brought in.

In and out easy without anyone noticing anything out of the norm. It would've had to have been part of the decorations. It's possible that whoever set it up was unaware of the effects. I find it doubtful that many of the teachers would willingly harm their student no matter what we might think personally.

One man's crusade is hardly a race's war. There's a lot that doesn't add up, though. It's simply too hard to tell just yet. But two instances in a handful of months doesn't sound random; it sounds planned.

They’re attacking students which is the odd thing. Attacking people’s children when they’re away is a fine tactic but the only thing you are guaranteed by attacking Hogwarts is that all Wizard children of an age are affected—there is no way to really focus only on the mud muggle born. It seems much more like an attack on wizard born given their chosen locale and the statistical probability of Hogwarts housing far more children from wizard families. That is why we teach Muggle studies and not Wizard studies—there is simply a much greater need given the population’s majority.

But then why is a Wizard attacking other wizard children? You see? It’s personal, surely, but that just makes it all the harder to reason out.

Hard to predict. You need two points can plot a line but things are rarely straight forward. The more that transpires, the more we can understand Snow.
