First let me say a great big hello to all of you! I hope you're all excited for the Summer holidays. I certainly am! But I feel like before everyone leaves for the holidays next month, we have some things that we need to discuss. I hope that none of you mind that I took the liberty of having the house elves deliver tea to all of you as, as well as giving you a note telling you to check for this entry. So all of you should be here soon, I should hope. Unless you intend to ignore this, but please don't. I would be disappointed in you.

Anyway, the point of this is to discuss the going ons lately! We have not had a staff meeting in a while and I figured one over the journals would be much better! That way, we can sit in the comfort of our own offices and discuss things. I think the biggest thing we should discuss is this fighting.

So much fighting going on! We need to figure out a way to make the students get along. Preferably before the end of the year, or else they will all go home stewing on things and that is not healthy at all. While I know that Mister Strider just won the egg competition, I think perhaps he needs talking to. I don't think we should dock the points though, as those were certainly well earned and he and Mister Robinson were a very good example. Mister Vantas was most definitely out of line in some of the things he said, so I feel all the blame does not belong solely on Mister Strider.

This is just touching on the surface, I think. If anyone else has things they want to bring forth and lay on the table, you are more than welcome to! At any rate, I am done for now and will wait patiently for everyone to respond.

Well, Mister Vantas did... Ah, insult his family, I think? However, that was after Strider senior insulted his family.

It is really confusing if you start thinking about it.

That fool of a teacher insulted most families. While I don't believe Vantas reacted in the most intelligent manner, it's not necessarily all his fault, as much as I hate to say that.

Though I doubt him being around the eldest Strider would be a good idea, because I can't believe either of them would be able to behave.

Perhaps Strider senior should assist in these endeavours. If he acts like a child, he can be treated like one.

If they're troublemakers then they should all be punished accordingly. Egg competitions be damned. Deduct house points and enforce some sort of detention, they sound as though they've earned it.

I think detention should most definitely be in order! But we should not deduct hard earned points, not so close to the end of the school year. At least, that is my opinion.

I hate agreeing with Donoghue, but if disciplinary action needs to be taken, what difference does it make when it happens? If you're not firm with a child, and these boys are obviously still very much children, they'll never learn.

And it's not like the points will make much of a difference, and they could always earn them back if they were so inclined.

And maybe before that a nice round of team building exercises for everyone. The eggs were a great start but we should build on that and show the students that we teachers are willing to do it with them!

And we should definitely get planning on the party and the team building. It's worked wonders for the Prides!

Well! There's the standard fare that even muggles use. Trust building exercises and such. But I think we'll need something bigger to sort this out. Something where the consequences are a little more severe.

Oh! Or maybe a serum that induces truthfulness. Not just some of it but all of it and even things people won't admit to themselves. It'd probably end with a brawl but it'd clear the air!

And then some trials where people have to put aside their differences and work together or suffer for it.
