I don't see what's so bad about going to the dance with my friend. I'd spend most of my time with him anyways.

How can I have friends as socially inept as you? Really, tell me because I don't have a clue.

You go to dances with girls. And you dance with girls. Dances are all about girls, especially the ones you can dance with, dances that involve touching.

If you're going "to the dance" with Thor, then you can kiss any chances you could have with a girl good bye. Is that what you want?

I'm not inept, I just don't understand why going to the dance with a friend is such a big deal. Don't lots of people do that?

So what does any of that have to do with being with a girl?

If you're going as friends, then it isn't a big deal.

But if you're going as Thor's 'Partner' then that's what it has to do with being with a girl.

But we are going as friends. Because we're friends. It's really not hard to figure out, Stark.

Well fine, Rogers. Go as friends then. You know, I don't even know why I care.

If you're upset over this you can just come with us as well.

I'm not upset, why would I be upset. There is no reason for me to even care, what Gryffindor's do with their time.

But we're friends. Aren't we? Me and Thor just aren't good with girls and it's never fun to go to things alone.

You're not good with them. ABBA, just doesn't notice that he's noticed.

And I said I'm going alone. And I plan on having a lot of fun.

[There's a pause]

Of course we're friends, why wouldn't we be friends.

Thor's oblivious to everything.

You act like you hate me most of the time. And you're a prick.

[Is he using that word right???? He just doesn't know.]

So sometimes I don't think we're really close friends at all.

[Tony Stares at the reply for a few moments. An ink dot or two show up from the quill's dripping over the page then a few moments later]

Okay, yeah. I am, not going to try and deny that, there's more than one year that could stand up and say I am in unison.

If I hated you, I would be ignoring you or publicly humiliating you where ever I could.

If you pay attention, no one else gets treated like you do.

[Thor would get it too. But Thor punches too hard]

You insult me and tease me almost every chance you get. It might be worse than what other kids get, but that doesn't make everything okay.

Not to mention you could just treat everyone kindly and with respect.

Only people like you can get away with being like that.

If I did that, people would wonder why I wasn't in Slythern, they would think I was up to something. I don't have the sweet, honest face you have.

And I don't insult you.

We must have different definitions of insulting, then.

Okay, okay. I might. It's not like I mean it or anything.
Like it really matters what I call you anyway, you'll always have Point Break there, to defend your slighted honor if you really wanted him too.

I don't tell Thor to do anything. He just does it himself. He does it for everyone, because he's a nice guy.

Whereas you seem to have a hard time believing not everyone is just like you.

Nice guy? I'll remember that one for when I finish another day with bruised arms.

People wish there were like me, there's a difference. Not everyone is a creative genius heir.

Being enthusiastic doesn't make him a horrible person. And maybe if you weren't so rude to him he wouldn't treat you the way he does.

Is that really all there is in life? Being smart and having tons of money, while treating everyone else like dirt under your shoe?

I've seen less enthusiastic golden retrievers. And hey, I treat him, how he treats me.

Woah, I don't treat anyone like dirt under my shoe. I might be many things, but I treat everyone the same. Do you even pay attention to anything I do? Because you know. I'm starting to wonder.
