What the hell was all of that about? I get off work and come back to a whole bunch of nonsense on my journal! My younger sisters were just about to read that ridiculous entry; I just managed to grab it out of their hands. Are you lot trying to get me in trouble with my mum and dad!?

Bloody hell, learn some common sense!

[There's a few more ink blots, as Lestrade struggles to contain his temper on the other side of the journal. Maxim is sorry, and he is apologizing to the others as well. A few more minutes pass, along with some fist clenching and deep breathing, before he eventually writes out a reply:]

[His quill nearly punctures the paper, but at least he didn't blow up. Too bad the strikes came a little late, so Maxim probably has an idea of what Greg wanted to say at the start.]

I just don't want my sisters to start asking inappropriate questions. They're already driving me nuts, I don't want them to start asking me about ma that stuff. They're at that age, you know.

I can understand that. Siblings are a handful, even the best of them. And talking to them about things like that would just be painful.

I'd rather scrub the dungeon floors than give them the talk at this age. At least I won't have to deal with my parents; Dad would be livid if it ever happened.

Makara and Kishitani are going to shoot themselves in the foot if they don't watch it. I wouldn't say most of the younger lot are as stupid, and Kishitani's brilliant at his studies from what I've heard, but those two really need a class on common sense.

What year are you at? Must be pretty high up, if you've been arouund long enough to notice the pattern.

The job's alright. Working me from 9 till 5, but the pay's decent and there's a telly around so I get to watch a little of the Olympics while I'm wiping tables. The girls are alright; sometimes getting them into bed is downright hell, and it's like a never-ending game of Jeopardy with all their questions about wizards and magic, but I do get a break when they're tucked in, and when it's their one hour telly time. Never thought I'd be so grateful for Dora the Explorer.

Yeah, the Olympics definitely make things a little bit more exciting. I dunno about being bored though; I'm nearly working all the time, a break sounds like a fantastic idea.

My sisters say thanks. Gimme a moment, I need to tuck them in bed.

I didn't! I put it in my bookshelf and I told them specifically not to touch it.
