What the hell was all of that about? I get off work and come back to a whole bunch of nonsense on my journal! My younger sisters were just about to read that ridiculous entry; I just managed to grab it out of their hands. Are you lot trying to get me in trouble with my mum and dad!?
Bloody hell, learn some common sense!

You stupid idioGod are you so dUse your brainFirst years[There's a few more ink blots, as Lestrade struggles to contain his temper on the other side of the journal. Maxim is sorry, and he is apologizing to the others as well. A few more minutes pass, along with some fist clenching and deep breathing, before he eventually writes out a reply:]
Just don't do it again.
[His quill nearly punctures the paper, but at least he didn't blow up. Too bad the strikes came a little late, so Maxim probably has an idea of what Greg wanted to say at the start.]

The job's alright. Working me from 9 till 5, but the pay's decent and there's a telly around so I get to watch a little of the Olympics while I'm wiping tables. The girls are alright; sometimes getting them into bed is downright hell, and it's like a never-ending game of Jeopardy with all their questions about wizards and magic, but I do get a break when they're tucked in, and when it's their one hour telly time. Never thought I'd be so grateful for Dora the Explorer.
How about you? You doing ok?

[A small pause.]
My sisters say thanks. Gimme a moment, I need to tuck them in bed.
[A few minutes pass before the words start appearing on the journal again.]
Right, sorry about that. How's your own family doing? Your sis and your mum doing ok?

I'm an only child and I still keep it in a locked drawer. Do you leave your wand where they can reach it too?

My wand is in my school trunk, locked away thank you very much.

I have this terrible habit of letting Gamzee draw me into these things.
Not that I'm trying to blame him.
[There's a few blots of ink, as if the quill is being tapped against the page, then it switches to a private filter]
Sorry about that.
How's the job?
Filtered
Might want to watch your step there Arthur. Between both professors, I'm surprised Makara, Shinra and Maxim are still in one piece.
Are you a friend of his? You're both in Slytherin, right?
The job's hell. The Olympics are good for business, but I'm being worked to the bone.

Sometimes it's endearing. A lot of the time it isn't.
I suppose you're keeping busy at least.
Mother's taking me to Mungo's later today.
I keep trying to dissuade her but she's not having any of it.

You the girl whose mum's watching what you write and read in the journals? Christ, I'm sorry that you got in that much trouble.
