Now that school is nearly back in session, I have a question for the Ravenclaw and Slytherin students taking my class. I'd noticed a couple of you were going above and beyond expectations, but I'd also noticed quite a few of you failing to meet the standards set for you. As such, I am offering an hour long extension class for ALL years twice a week in which we will cover old topics more thoroughly and begin to study new things ahead of the usual regime.

These classes will, of course, benefit your grades. So if you are unhappy with your marks or looking for extra lessons, I would consider signing up here.

If it is of any interest, these lessons will also include swimming lessons and you do not need to be in my class to attend those. You will not be doing a repeat of camp, so be sure to bring actual swimming clothes if you attend. You may sign up here, and yes, we will be joining the squid in the lake. Even if you are capable of swimming, I am able to assist you with your form and speed.

Does this mean standard classes are going to actually be harder now? Because really, I'd love more of a challenge.

If they were any more complex my grade average would be hideous, I'm sure you understand.

I'm hoping to delve more into subjects of a practical nature and perhaps things that will be a bit more useful in the real world. Which is why I decided to teach swimming.

The average might be hideous, but I'd be challenged.

But okay sure, I'll do these extra classes, sounds fun.

My work goes beyond you, believe it or not. If you want to be a genius you'll have to suffer the terribly boring consequences of being a cut above the rest.

I look forward to you being there without food, for once.

I already suffer boring consequences.

Aw, come on. It's not like what I bring makes mess. And it's mostly fruit anyway.

Of course. You're truly a martyr among students, Stark. Your suffering will be remembered through the years.

Eat at the allocated times or I'll confiscate it and feed it to my owl.

It's a burden I bear graciously, I assure you.

You're really going to steal a kids fruit?

Of course.

You're a young adult, Stark, not a child. If you bring food into my class, you cannot argue the consequences.

[arrogantalloy]

Everything is always up for argument. But hey, I don't really want to lose any food that I don't need to lose. So yeah, sure. I'll be a good boy and not bring fruit.

of course. You can argue until you run out of ink, it doesn't mean I'll change my mind.

No food at all, Stark. Fruit included.

Really? Now you're trying to deny me the five a day that the national health board says is mandatory for a child's health and development?

Is this what passes for teachers caring for their students?

[He knows he could be pushing it a little. But in his mind, he's not being serious so it's all cool... Right?]

You're welcome to eat as much as you like outside of class.

I don't care about my students, Stark. Don't be stupid.

You're a teacher. Isn't your caring about us fundamental to your teaching model? Because really, you're not here for the pay, That much is obvious.

I wouldn't call it essential.

I was being sarcastic, in any case. I'm sure all of you are terribly endearing when you aren't trying to send me to an early grave.

Me? I don't aim for putting you into a grave. But hey, I'm also not really one for being endearing either. I prefer to be charming, and charismatic. It's better for public image I'm told.

You don't aim for it, but you don't bring nearly enough food for me to confiscate. How am I ever meant to sustain myself if not by stealing your snacks?

Call it what you will, it's of little concern to me. Save the charm for the charms professor.

That's because I eat most of it before I get in. And really, I'm sort of nervous now, because I'm not really sure if you're joking right now or not. Because really, I know my snacks are good, so who could blame you for always wanting them for yourself.

No. You're defiantly making jokes now. This really is as scary as it is cool, right now.
