If I ever think about snakes again, it'll be too soon. I'm officially done with their slithery ways. They can all either grow some legs and be proper lizards or just steer clear of me. All snakes the world over are officially notified. The ball's in your court now, snakes.

I'd also like to apologize to anyone who might've got distracted from what they were doing if they caught sight of all the snogging Sherlock and I were doing in the Great Hall. And the not-as-great halls. And the courtyard. And... you know, just. Take this as a general apology.

Oh, can it. You heard Dumbledore's message. Most of the student body wasn't in their right mind and didn't have proper control over themselves.

Most of the student body was under the influence of a love potion, which does not require immediate tongue-on-tongue action in the hallways. What you chose to do with your false emotions was entirely a facet of your own personality, and some of us didn't appreciate having to see that constantly.

Anyway, I can't agree with all you said. The potion had to have some factor in it because... guess what? I wasn't the one to initiate the kissing. Sherlock did, and I bet if there's any one thing you and I can agree on in this world, it's that that's certainly not a "facet of his personality".

Of course it is. Holmes is shameless and doesn't care what most people think of him. It makes perfect sense that if he was in love with someone he'd do all sorts of inappropriate things in public, and he'd initiate them, because he goes after what he's interested in. I thought you two were mates, how can you not know that?

Of course I know about his bad qualities, but you're making it sound like that's all there is to him. And that right there is a steaming load of bollocks. Yeah, he can be an irritating jackass, but if I tell him he's being a dick about something and put my foot down about it, he can be reasonable.

I don't know what impact that'll have on his journal-giggling, though, so I can't help you there.

Like I said, I hope Sherlock and I will be okay. I think we will. The whole situation is just really confusing and it's left me with a hell of a lot to try to figure out.

I didn't have any problems, personally. Perhaps if I had, I wouldn't have found myself dealing with the displays of unmitigated affection that I seemed to be bumping into around every corner.
