[Well now he's going to snap his journal shut and stride right down there with his nose in the air.

Far be it from him to let some mentally unstable potions teacher tell him what to do!!

[There's a lot to be curious about! And as Murdoc walks down the hall, he'll see a door open at the far end, and a really tall man in black and purple robes glance out, smiling when he spots the other professor.]

Ah, I wasn't sure you would actually come.

[I'm all about the sass and whatnot]

[Murdoc isn't tense. That's why he doesn't nearly jump a foot in the air as the door opens. Only he is and he did. He straightens and nods sharply at the other man, looking far from impressed.]

I wouldn't accept an invitation without every intention of arrivin'. Though, this is hardly what I'd consider a leisure visit.

[grandhighwizard]

All business, hm? [The older man is clearly amused, and opens his door wider.] Come in, then, Donoghue, come in, and we'll discuss your ... curiosity.

I fail to see what else it would be, considerin' that we're colleagues.

[He narrows his eyes at the open door before slinking in, eyes immediately flicking about the room. He's both intrigued and suspicious.]

[It's an odd sort of room, though probably not as odd as the rest of his chambers. A short hall leads to it, and there's a small work room attached, a toilet, and the bed chamber, of course, but this is his public room. It's immediately quite obvious that the Potions professor likes color. There's a small couch here, draped in multiple colors of cloth, and an entire wall decorated entirely with masks, of all different types and colors and cultures. Some are death masks, some harlequin masks, some masks of goats with spiraled horns. There are also multiple bookshelves here, stuffed full to near bulging with various tomes and scrolls - Rhys is an avid reader.

Another wall holds a strange painting of a multicolored moth, and a collection of juggling clubs, the kind that might be used in a circus. And then there's a table to one side of the room, with several bottles upon it, some papers that were apparently being marked, and the taller man's closed journal. Next to is a half finished cup of a tea, and a small pot.]

Well, yes, that's the point, isn't it? [Rhys asks enigmatically.] Tea?

[If Murdoc felt something offputting through the other man's writing, this room was like a summary of it. At least, to him it was. Murdoc was nothing if not straight laced. His own chambers were plain, sans the occasional map or book.

Though, if he kept everything on the surface and in clear view, could he really be hiding something? Certainly!]

Bein' colleagues is the point?

[He's seemingly distracted by the painting as the other speaks. He jerks his head away from the gaze he's stuck in and quirks an eyebrow at him. Instinct and formality says he's obliged to accept the offer, but trust issues coupled with the fact that Rhys is the potions master leaves him hesitant. Though, he doesn't attempt to hide from his expression.]

No, I'm fine.

[grandhighwizard]

Something like that. Do you like the painting? [Rhys busies himself with pouring himself another cup of tea. It smells quite nice - a bit of jasmine, something herbal.] Wizarding art is usually so stodgy. Formal.

It's interestin', to say the least. Never was interested in art.

Now, you had somethin' you wanted to elaborate on?

I'll take that as a compliment, that you find a piece of something you've never been interested in as a whole, interesting. [smiles] And no, actually.
