33 sucks.

Out of all of the numbers out there, it's probably the worst number by far. I mean, what's even the point of it? 32 is better. 31 is better. 33 is absolutely pointless in its existence. And it's an odd number. Odd. Odd numbers suck, but 33 is the suckiest odd number out of all of them.

There's nothing even ironic about it. I can find irony in every other number. But not this one. It's like anti-irony in its most natural form.

We're wizards, we should be able to magically take this number out of existence.

Someone invent a spell for that.

I had it under control. There's no need to worry because I am actively solving it and I can do it on my own. This is why it's rather ridiculous it even came to light in the first place. There's no need to make it a "we" problem because I can fix it myself.

They weren't irrational, and that's the fucking shitty part. Because yeah, I screwed up. I should've been there for you and I should've been honest with you and Dave a hell of a lot sooner. They aren't irrational because in your eyes and rightfully so, I was never fucking there. I know that. So don't dismiss your own feelings for my sake. I know I fucked up. But I'm gonna fix it.

And I'm not just giving you lip service. Why would I do that? Lip service doesn't get anybody anywhere. You didn't look like a fool to me.

They are irrational. It's not exactly your fault you weren't there last I checked. And even then, there was a chance I wouldn't even ever come into contact with you. Hogwarts isn't the closest wizarding school to me. There are countless factors at play that could have altered this entire playing field.
And you forget that you are here now. They were and are irrational because I already know that you're here and are aware of my presence and trying to better yourself for my sake... Dave didn't grow up with a motherly figure. Unless that's a detail I'm not aware of. It's just how things went. This is honestly an issue that can be buried.

Those are all excuses in order to make me look less like a failure. Yeah, I'm doing better now. But it doesn't erase the shit I did before Rose. Don't just brush it under the rug like that. Admit that it fucking sucks so that you can start healing instead of just pretending like it ain't an issue.

And that's not what I meant. I just meant that for once you let your feelings out instead of bottling them up Lalonde style.

You didn't do anything! I merely made assumptions and mother never bothered to ever tell me anything because she didn't think I needed to be aware of it before. You were honestly just an adult whom wasn't part of my life. Many kids grew up without both their parents. I am hardly a victim at all. I'm not the delicate little flower who was somehow wronged because you didn't raise me with her.

I do no such thing. I am rather vocal about my feelings. I tell people when they irritate me and I smile and laugh when something amuses me. Hardly any bottling up is done.
