33 sucks.

Out of all of the numbers out there, it's probably the worst number by far. I mean, what's even the point of it? 32 is better. 31 is better. 33 is absolutely pointless in its existence. And it's an odd number. Odd. Odd numbers suck, but 33 is the suckiest odd number out of all of them.

There's nothing even ironic about it. I can find irony in every other number. But not this one. It's like anti-irony in its most natural form.

We're wizards, we should be able to magically take this number out of existence.

Someone invent a spell for that.

You never really took to cold weather did you?

[She holds the bag out to him.] You're not allowed to tell people I made these for you. It would ruin my reputation as someone who is no fun and play.

[She rolls her eyes.] How about you apparate us to London and I can show you to the cafe that mother and I like to visit when we're in the city. But we have to leave school grounds first, right? We can't apparate or disapparate on Hogwarts grounds.

[It's matter of fact, but there is a very subtle bitterness to it, because fuck the cold weather.

He takes the bag with a small smile.]

[She does the childish thing and grabs his hand instead. She is fourteen and holding your daddy's hand is normal and also she is secretly a daddy's girl somewhere deep inside. Hidden under layers of Lalonde.] I would never think of doing it any other way.

[It surprises him when she takes his hand, but he isn't complaining one bit. He just smiles, and begins walking.]

Nah, because if I open them here, nobody will know they're from you. The students may not be allowed to know, but I can at least be sure a bunch of strangers in London will know that I have the best goddamn daughter in the world when I open it there.

[She kind of even swings then arms back and forth as they walk. She probably doesn't even realize it.]

I'm never going back there after this. They'll never want us back again with the sheer ridiculousness of the contents in that bag. Thanks a lot.

[She may not realize it, but Bro definitely does and he enjoys it and goes along with it. He's almost dreading the moment they get away from the castle and have to apparate away.]

Well damn, now I'm really getting curious. But I stand by what I said, I ain't opening it 'til we get there. I'm pretty excited though! I bet it's fuckin' awesome.

[That's because Rose is acting her age at the moment. Instead of being a snotty, uppity know-it-all.]

I'm sure only you would find it awesome, honestly. Your gifts have always been rather unique for me to make in that I always feel the need to make them in the wee hours of the night when no one is looking.

I'll try not to think of the implications of that, and instead focus on how maybe that's just when your burst of inspiration hits.

[It's always a little jarring at first, but she's rather good at keeping her balance.]

Oh yes. I think I know this alleyway like the back of my hand. It is so obviously different from other alleyways in London.

[They should probably actually step out first before she can discern their location.]
