I hope you students have not yet managed to fatally wound yourselves. We've only been out of school for a week, and I'd hope you lot could survive for a few months without close supervision.

I will not be assigning any summer work, but I do expect for you all to come to school with the proper books and with memories of what you learned the year prior. I'd rather not have to reteach you the basics again.

Unfortunately I will be going on this "retreat" as Dumbledore calls it, and I will be gone for quite a few days. Please refrain from getting into trouble or harm.

I am so happy to be home. It's a shame that we can't bring our own beds to Hogwarts.

Mother wants Link and myself to work at the radio station this summer, but I told her we need to at least take a trip.

I think I left my homework list at the train station. Oh well.

I've been home for a week now and spent most of it looking for a job. I'm old enough now, so why not? I spent a bit too much at the music stores in London when the train arrived anyways.

I have an interview at a restaurant tomorrow, but a guy who worked with my Dad might have a job for me at the festival this summer.
