Allow me to wish everyone a belated happiest of new years! I've just been so busy that I wasn't able to speak with many of you during the holidays, but now that things are winding down I can take a little breather.

I've already started brainstorming some new designs, though. There's just something about a new year that makes one want to begin new and exciting things, isn't there?

As wonderful as Christmas break was, I have to say it's even better to be back at the castle! I missed all of you very much. Zuko and I went on a small trip this year; I wanted to get his mind off of a few... events, and going away seemed to be the best way to do so! I think he had fun, even if he wouldn't say so.

I hope you all had a nice Christmas! And I really hope you all enjoy chocolate, because I think I bought enough of Honeydukes to own half a share of the shop! Don't eat it all at once, of course. But I'm sure you don't need me to tell you that, and who am I to rob you of a stomach ache for over indulging? It's something you should learn on your own, I should think.

Right, that was a good break. I love christmas time - any time when we can rest, relax and spend time with family is rare enough as it is, these days. I spent some time with Taiga, and she's doing well. She sends her love, by the way. Though that isn't exactly how she phrased it.

Anyhow, I got the school a present, myself. A couple of new bludgers. The enchantments on the old ones were wearing out, and were getting hard to keep maintained.

Anyhow, I hope you're ready for the new year! I look forward to it.
