I shall be disappearing for much of the next week, as OWLS approach, so I thought I would let the more easily worried of you know. The library or the Common room is the best place to find me, but I might not be in the best of moods. I apologize in advance if I'm curt.

I'll be in the common room if you've need of me the night of the dance. I know it's quite important to some of you, but I really need to be packing that night. The trains from London to Nice have baggage limits and it'll take all my spells to make this trunk fit their specifications. Papa just had to send me a new one for Christmas.

Why do we need a week for exams? Shouldn't one day be enough? This year is almost done though, and I can relax at home and take trips to places where there is sun. Mother wants me to do her radio show this summer too. It's going to be very busy.

I was going to start packing today, but I need to pick a dress for the dance still. I have all my acceptable choices spread out over my dorm room. It's year end, so I can't wear any old thing.

I must congratulate the students and staff for the success of the weekends fundraiser. The school earned enough to keep the Library and Hospital Wing up to date for quite some time.

Students are to remember that exams are this week and to study hard. The next Minister of Magic could be born with an O on one of this weeks exams.

On Friday, Breakfast and Lunch will be served in your common rooms, so that the Great Hall can be set up for the dance. I know that everyone is excited for it, and hope that you all remember the train leaves the next morning. So don't stay up too late.

Lastly, I have an announcement for our staff. Hogwarts annual staff retreat has been booked and scheduled for June 25th to June 29th. The location is a surprise, so Portkeys will be set up at each of your homes, for quick transportation. It is of course, mandatory, for those who are new to Hogwarts staff, and very fun.

Teachers weren't joking around about O.W.L's being tough. I think I did fine on my practical parts today. There are a few more days left still.

My sister, Prim, wants to go to the dance. Since she's a first year, I don't want her going alone. I hope jeans, a t-shirt and tennis shoes are good enough.
