So I've been doing a load of studying lately and I'm doing okay with my nonverbal spell theory and all that. But I was wondering if theres anyone who wants to partner up with me and study out of class.
eww i cant believe I'm saying that but i need to practice because it's getting close to the end of school and I'm not up to scratch in potions or transfiguration.
Anyone got any tips for you know, making transfiguration work right? Its too hard.

Goats are not entirely immune to the Elixir to Induce Euphoria.

I think perhaps it likes me better now.

Hoping for equally positive results from the Shrinking Solution.

Best if one does not help oneself to the yellow contents of the couldron in the Ravenclaw common room. Might be dangerous.

Can someone please help me? There is a ghost at the corridor and I do not know how to get away.

[Obviously, no one has explained to Ib that the ghosts in Hogwarts aren't like the vengeful ones from Japanese folk tales.]

[Later in the day...this is filtered to Shinra]

Kishitani-senpai, here's the picture.

[Enclosed is a very nice crayon drawing of the Hogwarts lake. There's the sun in the sky, the castle in the background and a whole bunch of students, some swimming, some flailing in the water, some sun-bathing, and some sitting down and just chatting with friends or reading books. While Ib did not draw any student in particular, there are two figures she made sure to get right. Underneath the tree, Shinra should find a recognizable depiction of him and Ib sitting together.]

I hope it is to your liking.

So i know this book of monsters is meant to have a bit of an attitude problem.
But the blasted thing has stolen my shoe.
I believe i can get it to abandon it by dangling my second one but i can only be in one place at one time.
So im not quite sure how to go from dangling the bait to retrieving my other shoe without losing something more important than the first shoe.
Any suggestions?

[For anyone in the Gryffindor boys' dorm, Jake has spent the last hour or so standing on his bed and trying various methods of reclaiming his lost shoe from under it with the vicious book. Naturally, he's warned any of his bunkmates of the danger, but that doesn't mean he's had any better luck getting the thing to relinquish his shoe.]

For some completely unfathomable reason, Robinson is lobbying to bring hordes of capybaras into Hogwarts. And for those of you who don't know, these creatures are both large and potentially dangerous. Therefore, you shouldn't be signing Robinson's petition under any circumstances.

In fact, you should all sign my petition to ban capybaras from Hogwarts in the interest of keeping us all from being killed and devoured.

Well now, I'm glad to see everyone back at school safe and sound and ready for what has already begun to be an eventful year. I know that the first little while has been quite busy and exciting for many of you, but now is not the time to forget that you are attending this prestigious academy first and foremost to study.

Now that everyone is back for the year, I would like to take this opportunity to repeat my previous assertation which I recognize may have been overshadowed by more pressing matters in the past weeks, which is to say that for those of you who would be comfortable speaking to someone who can offer an unbiased perspective and also who can be approached much like one would a peer, I am willing and able to offer my unique and unbiased perspective as a not-quite-peer mediator. This goes for faculty and students, I remain unbiased either way and will be willing to listen to any concerns that any individual might wish to raise. I also will be willing to provide advice as to appropriate avenues to carry these concerns on, should the individuals in question wish to do so, in order to minimize offense taken by any party and, ideally, help to foster a deeper sense of camaraderie and understanding between fellow students, fellow staff, and between the faculty and the student body, as well.

I do not wish to come across as obtrusive in any way, particularly as my transcorporeal privilege can make some reticent to approach me, and I recognize and respect this, and will refrain from approaching anyone who may be triggered by my appearance. However, should anyone wish to reach me, they need only inquire into the whereabouts of Kankri Vantas, and you should find me in fairly short order. I will do my best to be readily available and approachable for students and faculty alike, but of course not in a manner that could be construed as obtrusive, obnoxious, or offensive.

As a starter, I'd like to congratulate the students who are now able to float in water. You're well on the way to actually swimming. A few of you went well beyond my expectations. However, I have decided that I will not be holding another swimming lesson again in this lifetime.

Secondly, I'm finding it incredibly presumptuous that a few of you are assuming the Hogsmeade trips will be going ahead. The behaviour displayed within the first weeks back was abysmal and anyone surprised over the points has not been paying very good attention to their surroundings.

As such, I have compiled a short list of reminders that I strongly suggest you consider.

1. Goats are a noisy privilege. Use them wisely and stop flaunting them around as if they're some sort of joke. They're for class, not for fun.

2. Do not ever think it is acceptable to touch either a student or professor in a manner that is anything more than platonic when you do not have their permission. I honestly don't care if you want to slide your hands down each others pants in your own time, don't do it to your superiors or people you're not close with. It's a very simple concept. If I hear about students being groped or harassed I will intervene.

3. I don't know everyone present at the party, but that was a mess I do not even feel the need to get into. The level of disrespect shown that day was near horrifying and I really wonder whether the punishment was as severe as it should have been. Regardless, none of you are at a level in which you'll find yourself able to get away with those kind of shenanigans without being caught by those more skilled than you. Keep that in mind.

That should cover it for now, if you have any questions in regards to any of those reminders, feel free to ask it here. On top of that, if you have a concern with another student or even another professor, direct them to me and I will see what I can do.

Remember that your behaviour reflects not only yourself but your house and that favourable manners will be rewarded in time.

Slytherin and Ravenclaw, review the chapters I have set for you and when you have time I would like for you to consider what you fear most. You'll find out why eventually.

I don't know what a capybara is. I don't care.

Boys are so incredibly stupid sometimes.
