He won't be punishing the students who attended camp. And I can rest assured that he is spouting lies?

I have a few different kneazels tailing him. They're the most intelligent that live with me and they know to keep quiet.

He certainly made a bad impression didn't he?

I realize this introduction is somewhat late and for that I apologize. My name is Klaus Wulfenbach and as of this year I am teaching Political Magic, an elective for third year students and above who are interested in magical government as a career or simply as a subject. I have been working at the ministry for several decades now, first as a hit-wizard and then as a member of the Wizengamot, and I have met far too many young hopefuls who have no idea what sort of system they're trying to become a part of.

Those of you in my class, this is a reminder that you have due five inches (for third through fifth year) or ten inches (for sixth through seventh) on everything you currently know or believe you know about how our political system operates. Simply writing 'I don't know' until you meet the length requirement is not only not advised, it will lose you points for laziness. On the other hand, there is no requisite knowledge I am looking for and no 'right' answer. Magical government is a very complex subject and I don't expect any of you to know it intimately right out of the gate.

To my fellow faculty -- I feel it my duty to remind you that Snow has thus-far done nothing wrong since his arrival and arguably even before then. I worked in close quarters with him for several years and I can certainly tell you I dislike him, but dislike does not cause for suspicion make. I understand that he has insulted many of you and your children and students, and I believe this High Inquisitor business is quite obviously more sinister than he would perhaps like it to appear, but again, he has not actually done anything he is not allowed to, even if taking points for ridiculous reasons and threatening to sack teachers should not be within his power.

I think it prudent that we not give him reason to make good on his threats to abuse that power in future. As I mentioned to Sybille, the more on-guard he is against us, the less likely it is he will slip, if a slip indeed is going to occur. Subtlety may work better for us than aggression. Just a thought.

[Sign-ups for class are here!]

Would it be possible if I could get allowance from any professor to host a tea party of some sort? I can easily supply the tea and snacks for everyone, but I just do not have the equipment and space to do so. I would be extremely grateful, honestly. It seems that stress and tension is already getting the better of us.
I'll be honest that I would also just like to be able to have a stress free environment for a few hours to converse with my fellows. If any professor could give me permission, thank you.

If I can get this approved, everyone is cordially invited. I will have basic house rules as I will be fairly unimpressed if any fighting is to occur.

I hope you all don't mind tea bags though. They're easier to have in mass and my tea leaves were not so very positive, so I think I rather swear off tea leaves for a little bit. Sometimes this branch of magic causes so much more grief than need be.

While I might seem like a hypocrite, I would like to request that the students back off from Snow. He believes himself to be in control of the school, and is potentially dangerous. Potentially. Nobody but he knows what he will and will not do, and I would like for you students to err on the side of caution.

Let your professors handle him. Please.

[There is a filter on this, but it's really, really confused and jumbled and probably doesn't work for beans. Maxim thinks he should probably be subtle about this, but he doesn't know who to include or not include or what being subtle actually entails. Furthermore, the wonky filtering might mean that some parts of this post are visible, but some are not! What that means is entirely up to you]

in light of recent events i would like to submit a formal apology to every one i have ever offended
i would also include a gift baskit and a hug but as half my offenses include touching and that im not sure i can afford a basket for everyone in the school i dont think that is going to work
so the best i can do is aknowledge that yes i am a bad person and say that i am sorry
and that i promise to do everything in my power to not be a bad person
even if this means sitting on my hands in a corner of the classroom with my mouth tied shut
and even then i am not sure if that will be enough
maybe i should include chains
and manacles
or a shock collar
oh wait no those dont work at hogwrts

So am i the only one that thinks this inquisitor is a sack of dicks? Seriously the camp was not normal. I didnt feel okay there and i know a few others didnt either. So what's the deal? Whats everyone trying to hide? I swear, UGH! Maybe I dont want to be an auror anymore if i have to work for douchecanoes like this!

Got to be pretty low to tell kids theyre lying and that this was their fault. What about the ones that were hurt, was it their fault? Fuck no.

I apologize for the short notice, but I've been called away to my former laboratory to assist with some measurements. As such, all students will have a free period today and Thursday. I strongly suggest that you all use it to study, because there will be a quiz next week.

If any of you haven't turned in the last assignment, I'll grant an extension until Friday at 3 PM.

Look, I know everyone's got their mouths yapping about that new teacher Snow. Obviously the man's bad news, but only if you give him lip. He's not teaching us Hufflepuffs so as your captain I'd just like to ask all of you to keep mum around him and try not to have anything to do with the man at all. I don't agree with a lot of what he's saying, but getting worked up and pointing fingers at the Ministry isn't going to change the fact that he's here at Hogwarts and that if he wants to he could place you in detention, maybe even when we have a game. So just...stay out of his way, be polite if he talks to you, but for the love of God don't antagonize, disagree or be outright rude with him.

I'm setting up another Quidditch practise this weekend. Make sure you're all there.

SOME OF YOU NEED A LESSON IN THE WORD SUBTLE.
I'M LOOKING AT YOU, SOLLUX.
HE'S CALLING TEACHERS LIARS AND SAYING WHAT HAPPENED AT CAMP WAS JUST TEENAGERS BEING ROWDY.
WHICH WE ALL KNOW IS COMPLETE BS.
NONE OF YOU ARE LIARS AND NONE OF YOU DESERVE TO BE BELITTLED LIKE THAT.
GETTING HIS ATTENTION AND GETTING INTO TROUBLE IS PROBABLY GOING TO BE THE LAST THING ANYONE WANTS. WE JUST GOT THE HOUSE POINTS BACK UP, SO LET'S NOT MAKE A SHOW OF LOSING THEM.
I KNOW HE HASN'T DONE ANYTHING BAD YET ASIDE FROM DEDUCTING POINTS, BUT HE'S A MINISTRY OFFICIAL. NOTHING GOOD COULD COME FROM ARGUING WITH A MINISTRY OFFICIAL.
BEFORE ANYONE ACCUSES ME OF SUCKING UP - HE CAST A CENSORING CHARM ON ME BECAUSE I MADE ONE LITTLE SLIP UP AND SAID THE F WORD.
IF THINGS GET OUT OF HAND, GO TO YOUR HEAD OF HOUSE OR ANOTHER TEACHER. DON'T TRY TO ARGUE A POINT WITH HIM.
AND IF ANY OF YOU ARE PLANNING ON RATTING ME OUT, ---- YOU.
SERIOUSLY.
I HATE TO SOUND CLICHE BUT WE'RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER.
OUR ACTIONS COULD HURT OTHERS IF HE CAN'T GET TO US.
LET'S PUT ASIDE HOUSE RIVALRY FOR NOW AND JUST TRY TO LOOK OUT FOR EACH OTHER.

So, after reading through the journals network, I have reached one conclusion.

... I have no idea what's going on. I mean, I know what's happening now, but I'm missing so much context I may as well know nothing.

So, if anyone would be so kind as to give me some cliff notes, I'd really appreciate it.

Setting aside Inquisitor Douchecanoe for the moment--and setting aside the fact that I don't know what a douchecanoe is supposed to be--what is this about dark magic? It seems to have been confirmed by several students and a professor from what I've seen, but I had not heard a thing about it before coming here.

Good evening, Hogwarts. It is my great pleasure to announce that after nearly twenty years of being madly in love, both myself and the lovely Miss Matteris have gotten ourselves engaged to be married.

As of yet we haven't set a date for the wedding but we were simply too excited to hold off on announcing this to our dear friends. I'm certain you will all be invited.

As many of you would have seen, assuming you do possess the skills of basic reading comprehension, Hogwart's now possess two Herbology teachers. Which to be frank, I am glad of, as dealing with all of you would likely give me wrinkles far too early. Slytherin and Hufflepuff you will be reporting to me, and Gryffindor and Ravenclaw will be under the eye of Inquisitor Snow. No ifs or buts.

Now as for Homework, I have looked over the quizes I set on the first day back and I see that like I expected barely any of you seemed to actually study. So obviously to combat that I will need to set more stricter homework, and anyone who doesn't hand it in on it's due date with it fulfilling all it's requirements can expect a detention.

First years, I expect 8 inches on one of the most common plants discussed in your textbooks. Discuss where it is commonly found, what it is traditionally used for, and potential side effects it can have if used incorrectly.

Second years we will be studying Mandrakes as many of you may have assumed. As such I want 10 inches on the growth cycle of a mandrake, it's common uses, and the side effects it can have.

Third years I want a foot on the uses of the seeds of a Puffapod. Yes they are known for flowering instantly upon touching the ground, but there is more to them than beauty.

Fourth we will soon begin studying Bubotuber's and as such I want at least a foot on the correct method to harvests this plant's pus, and what the pus can be used for.

Fifth years yes this is an important year as we have all told you. Consider it also the potential last year I will ever have to deal with you,  if you do not intend on pursing a career that needs a NEWT in Herbology. I'm sure some of us will be very glad of this parting and I know in some cases I will be positively gleeful. But for the meantime, I want 30 inches on topics we have previously studied. If some of you are stuck and have not absorbed any information like I assume, then look up and see the homework I have set for grades below you for ideas.

Sixth and seventh years, you have elected to stay with me. Hopefully this is because you show actual interest in the topic and not just because you feel you need attempt it. As such, sixth years, pick a topic that we have previously studied and write me at least 20 inches on the subject. I want something that I feel could be good enough to go into a textbook, but trust me I'll know if it's been copied from anywhere. Seventh, I want you to find a plant that isn't native to the UK region, and write me an essay of 25 inches on it. Uses, it's time of discoveries, any side effects it has, the basics. Again, I'll know how many of you actually did the effort into it.

Aside from sixth and seventh years, I expect all these to be returned to me in two weeks. Sixth years I want yours in three, and seventh have till this time next month. Failure to hand it in will result in a very serious discussion as to why you feel you are too good for my assignments.

[ooc: Homework post here]
